November 27, 1924 - June 19, 2023
Mulvane, Kansas - Hightower, Robert Glenn, 98, of Mulvane, Kansas, passed away Monday, June 19th, 2023. He was born November 27th, 1924 to James and Hattie Hightower, in Coffeyville, Kansas. He was a World War II Navy veteran and retired project manager for the Boeing Company. Preceded in death by his wife, Doris, parents and siblings. He is survived by his daughter, Glenda (Robert) Lentz; grandchildren, Angela (Paul Courson) Lentz and Sarah (Jesse Smith) Lentz; nephew Jim Hightower; nieces, Nancy Mundell, Mindy Sorenson; three grandnieces, Kim Harp, Bethany Townsend, Christina Shields; and one cousin, Joanne Rogers. Bob was truly part of that greatest generation. I was both fascinated and terrified by the harrowing stories he shared with me about his experiences during WW2.
Bob was a great coworker and manager, I always appreciated his calm mild manner approach to any situation, he brings back lots of great memories, rest in peace boss.
