- Shane TSydney, Australia1,129 contributionsOne of the best day activities to do with your family. Had everything. We parked half way at Shelly Beach in a side street. We walked along the boardwalk back towards Cronulla Beach. We stopped on the way at the rock pools where the kids had a play then walked to South Cronulla Beach where we got a coffee and milk shake. The kids then had a play at the beach then the play ground.
We then walked back to Shelly beach where we had a picnic at Shelly Park then a swim in the Beach pool they have there. It started sprinkling so we decided to call it a day.
We took our time with all this. We arrived at 7:15 and left at 1pm. So just short of 6 hours and we didn’t even do the other side of the walk. Another day for sure. Definitely recommend so much to do.Written January 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. But make sure you check the weather forecast prior as if it's windy, there's almost no point getting out of the car. Have to drive there, but worth it.Written July 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Chris WBudapest, Hungary543 contributionsA nice beach. Go early or avoid during public holidays. Cafes and places to sit along the way if needed. Not as popular as Cronulla but that's a good thing.Written July 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Michael-4551Caloundra, Australia5,534 contributionsVisited on Wednesday 24th May. It was good having a look around at the old trams on display and being able to look inside some of them. Included in the admission price is a ride on two trams, well worth doing.Written June 23, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - wombatdavidHobart, Australia2,618 contributionsThis is a lovely park on each side of Botany Bay. The entry fee is $8 or free if you have a NSW parks pass. We enjoyed a walk along the cliffs and will do more walking next time when we have time.Written November 12, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Chris WBudapest, Hungary543 contributionsI've been here so many times, living so close. It has great facilities - pool, ocean bath, playground, cafe and great water views. Can't reserve seating so you need to get down super early to bags a spot if you want to have a function here - like we haveWritten July 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mdt T85 contributionsThis is a nice place. Only walking distance from where i live, i like seeing all the different families down there using it for gatherings. Because the pool clears out with the tides, its a lot cleaner than other rock pools that hold stale water. You can enter the pool via ramp or steps and there is grass and sand areas to lay out your towel. The showers are in good nick as well.
On a good tide you can surf off to the side.Written November 13, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Like 'how is this art?'. This place does this well.Written July 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Skeney57Sydney, Australia24,075 contributionsThe title question comes from a text I received after our great day spent at Jibbon Beach. He misspelt the name but hit on an important point! We visited in a friends boat and on mooring near the beach, we all jumped in to access the sand. He arrived with the broken base of a stubby of beer in his foot!!! I might be being unkind to the Gibbon family but only a complete moron would smash glass on purpose and leave it to maim a fellow person? You know, I am being unkind to the Gibbon family, as this person was a Drop Kick! But the beach, it was as usual a great spot & choice with a few other boaties on a semi overcast day. After a classic game of beach cricket with passer bys helping with fielding, we enjoyed a BBQ lunch on board with liquid refreshments and many dips in the briny! Best way to visit is by boat if your lucky but still doable by ferry or car, if you can park??Written January 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
