Jakszyk and Mel Collins re-read a King Crimson classic

The members of King Crimson Jakko Jakszyk (guitar) e Mel Collins (sax and winds), together with Jakszyk's son, Djangohave recorded a new version of Robert Fripp's band's song “I Talk To The Wind”, originally featured on King Crimson's 1969 debut album ”In The Court Of The Crimson King”.

The new version is taken from the upcoming one “Reimagining The Court Of The Crimson King”, a reworking of that debut, which will be released on Cleopatra Records on April 19th.

In addition to Jakszyk and Collins, “Reimagining The Court Of The Crimson King” features a number of big names from the world of progressive music and beyond including: Todd Rundgren, Arthur Brown, former Megadeth guitarist Chris Polonia and drummer Deep Purple Ian Paice, Steve Hillage, Chester Thompson, Brian Auger, the late Nik Turner and James LaBrie of Dream Theater, as well as Joe Lynn Turner, Marty Friedman, Carmine Appice and more.

“Reimagining The Court Of The Crimson King” will be available on colored vinyl, CD and digital album.

Among the many collaborations of Jakko Jakszyk and Mel Collins there are also those with Italian artists. The guitarist has in fact played on the albums of Franco Battiato (“Caffè de la Paix”), Alice (“Mezzogiorno sulle Alpi” and “Viaggio in Italia”) and Saro Cosentino (“Ones And Zeros”). Mel Collins' horn instruments can instead be heard in the records of Lucio Battisti (“Una giorno uggiosa”), Pino Daniele (“Musicante”, “Bonne Soirèe”, “Boogie Boogie Man”), Sergio Caputo, the bluesman Guido Toffoletti and Gianni Togni.
