To the family of Stanley Shapiro: Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of your husband, father, grandfather and brother. Stan was a good friend to me and my family in Pittsfield for many, many years. When my father operated a clothing store across from Shapiro Motors--I would go over to talk to Stanley almost daily. I bought my first car from Stan--used to get "lectures" about my driving habits from Stan--and no matter what was said to me---he was always well respected. He was a fine gentleman--and will be missed and remembered by all.
