Leslie Nielsen Children: Meet Thea Nielsen Disney, Maura Nielsen Kaplan

Leslie William Nielsen OC was a comedian and actor from Canada. He had two daughters from his second marriage, Maura and Thea Nielsen.

Thea Nielsen Disney is an actress who is known for Wrongfully Accused (1998), Dracula: Dead and Loving It (1995), and Family Plan (1997).

Throughout his successful career in acting, Nielsen amassed considerable wealth through his film and television work.

Though he had a varied career spanning several decades, he is perhaps best remembered for his roles in the “Naked Gun” and “Aeroplane” film franchises.

Over the course of his career, he appeared in over a hundred films and 150 television shows, portraying over 220 characters, including the arrogant advertising executive turned bear-wrestling psychopath Paul Jenson in William Girdler’s 1977 horror film “Day of the Animals.” The pivotal role came when he was cast as the poker-faced Dr Shirley Rumack in the hugely successful spoof “Aeroplane!” (1980).

In 1988, he made a big break when he was cast in the full-length feature “Naked Gun: Files From the Police Squad.” He later appeared in the sequels, “Naked Gun 2 1/2: The Smell of Fear” (1991) and “Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult” (1994). He capitalised on the success of Naked Gun 2 1/2 by publishing a fictitious autobiography titled “The Naked Truth” (1993).
