“Too Much to Ask” is the third single off Niall Horan’s debut album, Flicker. In this song, Niall laments a breakup and hopes his partner regrets ending their relationship, too. Speaking to BBC News, he said that this track was very special to him and that he hoped it’d go number #1 one day. Lost love was also a prevalent theme in the lyrics of the album’s title track, “Flicker.”
“Too Much to Ask” has been certified Gold in the UK and in the US. A music video for the song was released on September 21, 2017.

Niall Horan said in Smallzy’s interview “This song is special ! I wrote it the day after i wrote for ‘This Town’, I thought it got off to alright start when I started writing for album. It is a very nice, beautiful song, means a lot to me. I can’t wait for people to hear it, fingers crossed, I think they gonna like it. Obviously, a lot different to Slow Hands, but I said so, it’s still on the radio ! It’s a good time !”
