If you enjoy light background pop, you'll probably be hooked on this CD. Me? Not so much. The hardest rocking songs, "If I've Been Dreaming," "Bye Bye Bye" (two versions), "Pay Attention to Me," and "Lost My Love Today," are by an early version of the band called The Tikis. The covers, aside from Paul Simons's gorgeous "59th Bridge Street Song," leave me wondering why. I mean "Chattanooga Choo Cho," "Battle of New Orleans" and "Anything Goes"? Nah. "Both Sides Now" fits the band better, but Judy Collins's version is far superior. In short I was intrigued by The Tikis but Harpers didn't really engage me beyond "59th Bridge Street Song." If you like the group, Harpers Bizarre you should definitely like this Complete Singles Collection. There isn't much to say about it other than it has all their singles on one CD. There is a fairly packed 24 page booklet with tons of pictures and information.
