NMIMS is one of the top reputed B Schools in India and has a big brand name. The faculty is extremely talented and experienced The placement scenario is pretty good except that part-time courses have no fixed statistics. The fees are relatively high when compared to other B Schools of the same league The curriculum is very rigorous and requires constant attendance and involvement. Being a part-time PGDM, you are probably a working professional and it becomes very difficult to balance work with studies. The curriculum required you to submit assignments and give frequent exams. This might be difficult for working people. Unfortunately there is quite a level of distinction between full-time PGDM students and part-time PGDM students as the former get the most attention from teachers. The curriculum is rushed in order to get completed within 21 months imparting no real learning I know a friend who chose NMIMS Executive MBA and paid hefty fees just for the brand name instead of doing the same course at a less popular B School. She regretted her decision and claimed the program to be a total waste of money and time. She said she could have done the same from another B School at half the cost. So part-time MBA itself is not that worthless, but paying a hefty sum merely for the brand name and postgraduate tag is illogical. You can do the same program at a much lesser cost than other B Schools.

During the next lecture, you may need to complete the assignment, which could be challenging since the websites that could help you might be blocked. However, you can still use Wikipedia and copy information to complete your assignment. After finishing your work, you may feel accomplished. 1 pm-2 pm: It's break time, and you'll want to head to the canteen to catch a seat. The MPSTME canteen is one of the best canteens among the SVKM's colleges. Here, you can order food, share it, make fun of your friends, and meet friends from other streams, which can help you take a break from lectures and assignments. 2 pm-3 pm: When you get back to the class, you may sit at the back and witness your classmates submit their assignments or make excuses for not completing them. The course curriculum and th faculty at NMIMS is really good and at par wit best colleges in the country.
The brand name is well renowned and everywhere you go, NMISM is recognised as a good college.

Dislikes

I dont like the fees as it is very expensive compare to the other subjects.
Faculty is too strict sometimes about small small things so surviving is difficult.

Admission:

The admission process was quite simple. Just signup to the colleges website and find the course you want and then just fill in the details and pay a small fee for registration. Once youre registered you'd receive an email for interview if they find you eligible and once you complete your interview, purely on merit basis a list is created and a offer letter is sent to you if you're one of the selected.

the campus is just wonderfull I have ever seen before.

this colleges infrastructure is just awosome
Im enjoying my course in this college. This is one of the best college

Admission:

This college has its own cet exam and there is no reservation as it is private university.And also they have direct admission process based on students 12th board marks if the seats are available. the criteria for direct admission is 60% marks in pcm.

Very up to date syllabus and curriculum.
Advanced labs and pilot plant like facilities are also available.

Dislikes

College does not have a campus so you'll have to live either by your side or in the hostel separately
Very hectic schedule which is very draining and it takes time to get used to it

Admission:

Admission process is very smooth and almost 99% is paperless and online. Application form can be found on official site of Nmims. The exam portal opens in December and closes in May and you can conduct your exam at max 3 times for single admission and according to your availability

There are two ways of getting admission like first one is to give an entrance exam of NMIMS known nm-cet or nm-pat . And another ways is visiting campus except Mumbai and giving personal interview after you got selected you will receive a mail. There is reservation benefits. The difficulty level of exam is depends upon the students individually

To get into this course one has to give NMIMS-CET which is available on the NMIMS site. The exam contains MCQ's conatining physics chemistry biology logical resoning and grammar. The exam can be given anywhere in the country according to the availability.

Admission process is very easy you need to give an entrance exam called as ncet which is particularly for engineering and there are different entrances for each field you can also get admission through non cet but ncet students are prioritised

Infrastructure in terms of building was top notch
Course curriculum was designed as per the mumbai campus

Dislikes

Management could be better as the director was new and had hardly any management experience
Thrift between the placement and faculty could also be better managed as it hampered the students.

Admission:

The admission process during my admission was quite simple, where you need to give nmat. The registration process for nmat starts in august/ September where you can book slots for giving exam as per your choice till January. Only first attempt was counted for all nmims campuses. The difficulty level of the exam is moderate without negative marking. After clearing the cutoff of 210 score, wat- pi was done online itself but currently the process is done at mumbai campus for all off campuses. The one thing no one likes about the process is that they charge registration fees of 2k to 3k at every step of process.

The admission process involves filling forms, academic details, essays and standardized test scores. Cut offs for test scores and certain levels of GPA apply along with extracurricular and diversity. Challenges include heft admission form fees.

u need to pursue math in 11-12th to do bba. you had to visit the college website of nmims and apply for their entrance exam called npat. it is an all india aptitude exam covering math logic and english. it was pretty good

I liked the teacher's the way of their teaching like for every topic they will teach us with perfect example and also it's simple to understand
I mostly studied online I don't know mostly about the college but it's good

Dislikes

The thinks I disliked are forcing us to the fees not giving us any time
The exam interrupting and it should be improved

The admission process was pretty easy they helped me through every step and I completed my bcom to get eligible for the course and the application process I applied through their website and no reservations the timing of exams are good because I'm selecting my timing and date for the exams they have helped us with almost everything

NMIMS Scholarship 2024

Scholarship provided by college

NMIMS Mumbai students get a Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for economically weaker sections from General, SC, ST & physically handicapped categories. This scholarship is awarded on the basis of Senior Secondary Examination. Total number of scholarships has been divided amongst the State Education Boards based on the State's population in the age group between 18-25 years. Students having above 80th percentile & with family income of less than INR 6 LPA will get INR 1000 per month at graduation level & INR 2000 per month at postgraduate level. Students pursuing professional courses will get INR 2000 per month in the 4th & 5 th year. The scholarship is paid for 10 months in an academic year.

How are IIM A students different from students of, say, SP Jain, NMIMS, FMS or JB?

The peer pool of IIM Ahmedabad varies from that of other B-schools like SP Jain, FMS, and NMIMS because of the admission criteria and quality of intake. The majority of the IIM Ahmedabad batch comprises performing students with CAT percentile almost touching 100 percentile. and most of them got close to the 100 percentile in CAT and they get opportunities to study business studies in IIM A, B, and C. Very few students get into IIMs through the process of diversification only if they scored more than 80 percent grade in Xth, XII th and Graduate Examinations. The other B schools like SP Jain, FMS, NMIMS, or JB don’t have such strict criteria and the peer pool comprises students from diverse academic profiles rather than just top CAT rankers.

This is the major point of difference between the two kinds of B Schools. As a result of this, IIM Ahmedabad students are offered better placement opportunities at the global level than these average B-schools.
