About
Situated just off Regent Street, on the edge of Mayfair and only a stone’s throw from Soho, Casa do Frango Piccadilly is a large, light-filled restaurant that brings the warmth and hospitality of the Algarve to central London. Our signature dish, Frango Piri-Piri, is grilled over wood-charcoal and brushed with an age-old Piri-Piri blend. Enjoy with our delicious Portuguese sides, sharing plates and wine. Downstairs, you’ll discover our cocktail bar, The Green Room, exclusively available for private parties and events. We also offer two private dining rooms Sol and Mar - just the place for a Frango Piri-Piri feast with friends and family.

Fantastic dinner! The food was really tasty. Never eaten such nice food in London! The portions are good and the variety of the menu is great!

Craving a delicious Sunday lunch with a twist? Look no further than Casa do Frango on Heddon Street! This hidden gem transports you straight to the Algarve with its authentic Portuguese cuisine. We dove headfirst into their signature Casa Rice – a flavourful mix of Portuguese rice, usually with chorizo (we opted without), crispy chicken skin, and sweet plantain. The Bacalhau Fritters were divine – fluffy cod fritters nestled amongst roasted potatoes and caramelised onions, with refreshing lemon aioli for dipping. The Piri Piri Garlic Prawns were another highlight – succulent and bursting with Algarvian sunshine. For the main course, the star of the show was undoubtedly the Frango Piri Piri Chicken. Perfectly grilled over wood charcoal, the chicken was brushed with their secret piri-piri blend, offering a delightful smoky heat. We paired it with an array of delicious sides – sweet potato in a creamy red pepper yoghurt sauce, classic Portuguese chips, fire-roasted green vegetables, and a refreshing cornbread crumb topping. No Portuguese meal is complete without dessert, and Casa do Frango didn't disappoint. We devoured the Pastel de Nata (the iconic Portuguese custard tart), a rich chocolate mousse, and the Bolo de Bolacha, a unique biscuit cake with layers of Maria cookies, vanilla cream, and salted caramel. A big shoutout to Jamie and Amelie B for their friendly and attentive service! Casa do Frango is a must-visit for anyone seeking a flavorful and authentic Portuguese experience in the heart of London. All chicken is Halal.

Came here last night with friends. It’s a great location, spacious and well decorated inside. Service was quick and the waiting staff helpful. The menu isn’t particularly extensive (there are only 2 starters for instance) but as a pescatarian there was a number of things I could eat. If you hate coriander, this might not be the place for you as it features in a lot of the dishes. I had the peri peri prawns which were really nice, my friends had the chicken which apparently was a bit dry. Overall though, it was a good night. Nice place, nice food.

We waited at the entrace for 10 minutes, without seeing any staff to tell them we've arrived for our reservation. After we got seated, it took them more than 15 minutes to get a waiter to our table and order some drinks. Felt like they forgot about us, even though there were multiple staff members around. Food was mediocre at best. Clauliflower was super soggy, fries had little flavor. Chicken was ok, nothing special. They were really pushy about leaving a online review (came to the table about 4 times to remind us to leave a review).

This restaurant and venue are absolutely gorgeous!! It was lovely to discover it in a quiet courtyard behind Regent Street, away from the busy streets, beautifully decorated and a lovely atmosphere. I've been to the London Bridge one a few years ago, and many years ago to similar (more basic) places in Portugal. Everything was excellent - the food, caipirinhas, the wine and the service - and we'll definitely be back! Perhaps my only gripe, even though it was all lovely, was that I felt the total bill was very high for what we had. It was my son's birthday though so I was happy to pay £57 per head, and will save this place for special occasions!

Absolutely loved my trip to casa do frango for the first time in nearly 5 years! It did not disappoint. My friend and I went all out and ordered a real selection of things from the menu to share and they were all delicious. A firm favourite was the casa rice for sure! We made a last minute decision to opt for desert and we absolutely loved the almond cake. Our server Sam was amazing and he was very attentive. Couldn’t have asked for better!

The menu is very simple and there's not that much on offer if you do not like Chicken Piri Piri. We selected a starter each of one Pork croquettes and one Bacalhau fritters. Well, we were served 4 birds egg size things per starter and there was no taste and there was no way of knowing what they were. For the price of £9 and £9.50 we were not impressed. Along came the smallest half a chicken that we had ever seen with no accompanying veg or anything. It looked like it had been runover by a car. In no way did it resemble anything you see in a supermarket to buy and roast. We had to order a rice dish to go with it and that was £9.50 for a few spoonful's only. The chicken was quite tasty but very heavy on the garlic. That is my rant over about the food and so we'll now forensically discuss the service. The waitress was surly, unhelpful, provided no guidance when asked about the size of portion to come. We had to chase her up about bringing some tap water to also drink. We also had to ask twice about the added rice dish. The manager came over to do a service check but we suspect she had already been forewarned. We told her all about the problems and she agreed upon request to remove the service charge. Why pay for such appalling service! The bill came and surprise surprise we had been charged for 2 chicken dishes and the service charge was there. Both added items were soon removed. We paid and departed feeling annoyed, deafened by the noise, ripped off and still hungry. Well, at least the Portuguese rose wine was good. We will not be returning.

Firstly the restaurant is in a lovely location and it had a really good atmosphere, we started with the bread starter which was really nice and was good value money unfortunately for us that’s where the good value for money ended, we ordered for our mains the peri peri half chicken and 3 sharing plates, I’m sorry but the chicken was a quarter of a chicken at best we had 4 small pieces all on the bone this is priced at £14 and comes with nothing on the side, the 3 sharing plates are priced between £9 & £9.50 each we had the croquettes the salt code and the casa rice the rice was a small bowl of rice with a couple of chunks of chorizo in, the croquettes and the salt cod you got four bite size pieces of each we were left feeling very short changed. I will say the food it’s self is really nice and has great taste but for us just wasn’t enough for what we paid therefore we won’t be returning.

Have always loved the Borough Market restaurant and the Heddon St branch lived up to those expectations . It’s a lovely looking restaurant just like being in Portugal (even on what was a rainy miserable day) Food was fantastic , but it was the service that made the afternoon very efficient and very welcoming and friendly. Would like to try the downstairs bar next time but we were a little early

Went to the Piccadilly branch on Heddon Street off Regent Street, thanks to a friend’s recommendation. The place has a welcoming vibe - nice decor with vibrant shades and warm, friendly lighting…and live music, to boot! For a start, we ordered sangria (red wine, Licor Beirão, brandy and fruit) and Carvalhelhos sparkling water, and then for our mains, the lemon and garlic chicken grilled over wood charcoal. The chicken was yummy! Deliciously charred and yet still juicy. We also had the salgadinhos (empanadas with kale, mushroom and caramelised onion) and bacalhau fritters (salt cod fritters with roasted potatoes, caramelised onions; served with lemon aioli), casa slaw (crisp and crunchy coleslaw), the African rice (signature side dish made with Portuguese Carolino rice, chorizo, crispy chicken skin and plantain) and green rice (vegan version of African rice, with peas, mushrooms and crispy kale). For dessert, we had the pastel de nata (custard tarts “made famous by the nuns and monks of Belém”) and casa almond cake (“a national treasure of Portugal” made with ground almonds). So yummy that I tried ordering in the next day. Alas, it’s not possible on Deliveroo. Well, Piccadilly ain’t too far away while in London…

My husband and I decided to visit this new branch as we got an email from Casa do Frango to inform us they had two new locations in London. We always go to the one by London Bridge (which is excellent by the way). The staff were brilliant, very friendly, kind, helpful, and that makes a huge difference. The lady taking our order made sure to ask a lot of details about allergies and I think this is very important. I would like to mention Mariana, she made a huge difference, you can see how much she cares about every customer! I wish all restaurants had a lady like her looking after all customers and restaurant. The drinks arrived very quick after ordering, however our starters were delivered to the wrong table, but they made sure to apologise for the delay, and offered us free drinks on their behalf due to their mistake. The starters, main dishes and dessert were fabulous. I would recommend their salad and tomatoes, they are the best ever! Their almond cake is one of the best almond cakes I have ever had! It's even better than the ones I have tried in Portugal. My husband and I will definitely return to this restaurant.

Terrific place! On a quiet alley, this surprise find made my tastebuds (and my wife) very happy. A piri piri chicken. African rice, and sourdough was a perfect lunch ... and then we topped it off with a dessert of bolo de balancha. Fantastic!

We often visit The Algarve and love the restaurants that specialise in freshly cooked juicy grilled chicken. We were looking forward to trying Casa do Frango in Piccadilly. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. Our starters arrived quickly. The Piri Piri prawns were quite good but the Hispi cabbage was tough and dried out. That was nothing compared with the dried out chicken that arrived before we finished the starters. That chicken must have been cooked hours earlier and left warming. If chicken is the only main course the restaurant offers, it should be excellent. Unfortunately it wasn't. They need to take more care with the cooking, as they will disappoint many people who have tried the real thing in Portugal and hoping to experience the same in London. To their credit they didn't charge for the chicken when the bill came.
