KINGSTON – It didn’t take long for Kingston City Police to arrest a suspect in the robbery of the Rondout Savings Bank at 300 Broadway on Tuesday morning.
When officers arrived within minutes, they found Saeed Vahedi, 66, of Kingston standing in the bank parking lot. He was taken into custody without incident and the money taken was recovered. He was charged with robbery and possession of stolen property.
Police said Vahedi did not display or threaten the use of a weapon during the robbery and no one was harmed.
