ONE^[2] is an American animated web series created by Cheesy Hfj and starring That Person, Diamondcup69, John Dubuc, Ame, TopHatTheHat, Fluffy Bristle, McOddzen, Fish, JenningsAsYetUntitled, Hickstar, and Papiomike as its main cast, with Cheesy Hfj producing, animating, sounding, and writing most of the show (the latter of which was also half-done by ThatPerson, who wrote for Season Two, but did not write for Season One). The show itself revolves around 18 objects, all periodically introduced in batches of 6, who are teleported to "The Plane" for the purpose of competing in a simplistically designed gameshow created by an individual nicknamed Airy against their will. Comprised of two seasons with 9 episodes each, ONE ran from June 11, 2020 with the release of its first episode, Freefall, to concluding on August 21, 2022 with the premiere of the show's series finale, Self-Titled. A teaser for the show was released on January 12, 2020, titled simply "Teaser Trailer". It is the second object show created by Cheesy Hfj, the first being the joke show Battle for Circle.

ONE recieved near unanimous acclaim throughout its run from 2020 to 2022 by those in the OSC and has sometimes been described as one of the greatest object shows of all time, having received notable praise for its writing, the story's blend of drama and horror, animation, humor, and characters, though has also received some minor criticism over the handling of the show's ending.

Overview

The show follows 18 contestants, teleported in batches of six into The Plane by Airy who compete in his ill-planned, simplistic competition show where the winner receives a wish for whatever they want.

The batches of contestants themselves come from different universes. The first batch comes from a universe where anthropomorphic objects exhibit human-like features, such as participating in a civilization. The second batch, who debuted in "Just Tripped", are secretly sentient, living in a world alongside humans. The third batch, from "Screwball", are seemingly based on what members of the object show community call joke characters, and come from worlds that even Airy himself is not sure of.

As the show progresses, the mysteries of The Plane as well as the competition are unraveled and some of the contestants develop mental problems from being in the Plane and associated competition.

Season One focuses more on gameshow aspect and character interactions, while Season Two is more focused on Liam's journey to stop Airy and his competition for good alongside Bryce and Texty.

Development and Production

ONE's development seems to have started somewhere in early-to-mid summer of 2019 based on Cheesy Hfj's community posts.

It is unknown what ONE was supposed to stand for, due to Airy being interrupted by Bryce in "Freefall".
- In CheesyHfj's 1 million views Q&A, he confirmed that ONE never actually stood for anything.
  - However, people have theorized that ONE instead stands for "Objects Never Escape".
The show is commonly labeled as "Hfjone" or "HfjONE" (with numerous different spellings) to separate it from other content under the same name.
"Freefall" is the series' most viewed and most liked episode, with 1 million views and 26 thousand likes.
- On the other hand, "Batch Two" is series' least viewed and least liked episode, with 248 thousand views and 10 thousand likes.
"Scatterbrain" is the only episode of ONE that has ever been delayed, the reasoning behind this being the 48 Hour OSC Film Festival 2021, though it was only delayed by about 2 hours.
