A video showing what some have called a “supernatural creature” walking on a bridge in India has gone viral.

But is it a hoax? A ghost? An alien? Something else? A fact-checking site says it’s likely a naked woman.

Indian Republic Media Network spoke to a local authority about the video in an attempt to authenticate its source. The “alien-like or ghost-like figure” was “walking down the Chadwa Dam bridge at Jharkhand’s Hazaribagh in the dark,” the site reported. However, Alt News reported that the video was actually filmed elsewhere in India despite widespread social media reports about Chadwa Dam bridge.

“The origin of the video was unknown,” a local authority told Republic Media Network. No one had filed a complaint, so no investigation was launched, the unnamed source told the outlet. However, Seraikela sub-inspector Mohammad Noushad told Alt Net that the incident was being investigated in that jurisdiction.

Some People Think the Video Shows an Alien, But a Fact-Checking Site Claims It’s Really a Woman

In the video, the ghostly white figure is seen walking in the road, illuminated by the headlights of motorbikes.

Some have called the figure in the video a “supernatural creature,” Newsweek reported, saying it was spotted near the Chadwa Dam.

According to Newsweek, some people in the video referred to the creature as a “witch.”

One Twitter user shared the video on May 29, 2021, and wrote, “People are assuming it to be an Alien and it actually could be, keenly observe the 13th second of the video, A red Lapros wing UFO flying with jangling sound. Place-Near Hazaribagh,Jharkhand,” he wrote.

According to Newsweek, the video was taken on Saturday, May 28, on a bridge in eastern India.

Times of India journalist Arvind Chauhan tweeted on May 29, “Video of the alien or ‘supernatural creature’ spotted in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand.”

However, on June 3, he tweeted that “this video is of a poor woman & not of alien.” According to fact-checking site Alt News, a local journalist in Hazaribagh said the video was not made at the Chadwa Dam bridge, which he said looks significantly different from the bridge in the video.

Alt News reported that a local news channel “interviewed the two youth who recorded the viral video,” which the outlet reported was originally more than a minute long and filmed on April 27 on National Highway 75 in Ichinda, Jharkhand.

Here’s the original video. It’s longer than the version widely shared on social media.

“We got scared when we first saw the woman and stopped at a shop near the highway. When a few others reached the spot, we asked if they too saw the woman,” one of the youths who made the video, identified as Deepak, told Alt News. “She was not a witch. She was a woman and this was also confirmed by other passers-by.”

Alt News reported that “it is unclear why the woman was walking unclothed on a highway at night” and that local authorities said “the matter is being investigated.”

Deepak’s statement was recorded:

The site reported that Deepak and another youth spoke with Indian news channel Jan Doot News. They said the strange woman was “walking naked” and shouted, “Chudail hai, ladki hai, record kar, record kar!” (Witch, Witch! It’s a girl. Record it!).”

US Officials Have Investigated Unexplained Aerial Events & Are Expected to Release a Report

Talk of aliens has grown recently.

A filmmaker previously claimed to have radar video footage showing UFOs swarming a Navy ship.

It comes as Congress is awaiting a major report on UFOs.

Jeffrey Corbell wrote on Twitter, “2019 US Navy warships were swarmed by UFOs; here’s the RADAR footage that shows that. Filmed in the Combat Information Center of the USS Omaha / July 15th 2019 / this is corroborative electro-optic data demonstrating a significant UFO event series in a warning area off San Diego.”

He shared this image:

In March, the New York Post reported that an upcoming governmental report “will reveal evidence of UFOs breaking the sound barrier without a sonic boom and other ‘difficult to explain’ phenomena.”

John Ratcliffe, the former director of national intelligence, told Maria Bartiromo on Fox News, “Frankly there are a lot more sightings than have been made public. Some of those have been declassified.” He said they happen all over the world.

“And when we talk about sightings,” Ratcliffe continued, “we are talking about objects that have been seen by Navy or Air Force pilots or have been picked up by satellite imagery that frankly engage in actions that are difficult to explain.”

Ratcliffe said intelligence officials “always look for a plausible explanation” like weather or advanced technology by “adversaries,” but those explanations fall short for some events.

Barack Obama Said There Are Objects That ‘We Don’t Know Exactly What They Are’

Comments by former President Barack Obama about unidentified flying objects also got the alien talk going even before the latest video from India.

Obama told NBC News in late May 2021, “What is true, and I’m actually being serious here, is that there is footage and records of objects in the skies that we don’t know exactly what they are.”

He said: “We can’t explain how they move, their trajectory. They did not have an easily explainable pattern. And so I think that people still take seriously trying to investigate and figure out what that is.”

According to ABC 8, the report to Congress was provoked by sightings over the years by military personnel and other pilots.

ABC 8 reported that Virginia Senator Mark Warner, chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, is one of those raising questions.

According to ABC 8, he said: “Virginia is home to one of the largest naval bases in the world and to thousands of service members. While the report has not yet been made public, it is my hope that it can provide answers if our naval pilots encounter interference performing their duties. Addressing any risks that can endanger their lives whether on a mission or during training must remain a priority.”
