Is there on the 20th for my 80th birthday party. There were 16 of us. The service was impeccable and the food was the best you could find on Federal Hill. everyone was very attentive to our needs and all the food came out together, which I thought would be impossible and presented in a manner that you wanted to take pictures of. The food was delicious. No one had a single complaint out of our party.

I recently hosted my sister's baby shower at Maria's Cucina, and it was such an excellent experience! Chris, the owner, scheduled several phone calls with me to ensure we had everything planned to perfection prior to the day, which was especially appreciated as I was planning from out of state. Chris was always kind and professional on our calls, and had great menu recommendations - especially considering our group had unique dietary needs (vegetarian and gluten free). The day of the shower, the staff was also extremely kind, professional, warm, accommodating, and so helpful. The food was delicious (we had an antipast platter and salads to start; our entrees were gluten free carbonara, eggplant parm with pasta, and a chicken parm sandwich with french fries; dessert options were creme brulee (DELICIOUS), tiramisu, lemon cake, and cannolis) , and highly complimented by everyone in attendance. I would host an event here again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much to Chris, and all of the staff!

I must admit that one of the features that attracted me to Maria's was its parking lot. Cruising city blocks for a parking spot is a stressful way to start an evening out, and thankfully this is not an issue here. The restaurant itself is a lovely old mansion, as beautiful inside as it is from the road. We were seated instantly, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout. The wine list was sufficient and not overwhelming, and wine prices seemed reasonable for the different tiers. The menu has plenty of traditional Italian favorites. Our courses were delivered promptly and the quality was excellent.

Great ambiance and plenty of free parking. My veal parmesan was tasty and the slice of veal was enormous. However, my wife's carbonara was dry and skimpy on the meat. Our waitress was very pleasant and efficient. Our desserts were delicious but took forever to come out of the kitchen -- our waitress kept apologizing. Overall, it was a nice dining experience except for the dry carbonara.

We have lived in RI or entire lives and dine out frequently, this was our first visit to Maria's Cucina. First, there is a huge parking lot which is a major plus in Providence. The Venue is in a beautiful Victorian Estate, complete with all the Old World, High End finishes. The Vibe and atmosphere was very comfortable and appealing. The Service was Very attentive and well presented. The Food was AMAZING, prepared perfectly, and full of all of the flavor and freshness that one might expect from Fine Dining Venue in the Federal Hill section of Providence. We will DEFINATELY be returning with more friends in the VERY near future.

The food was delicious and presented by waiter Tony and he was as professional as they get. I am new to Rhode and have tried several restaurants in RI. Maria’s has a great team of people supporting their customer service.

All the reviews said really good things about Maria's... and we have to agree!!! Service by Tony was spot on! He was knowledgeable about the choices. There were so many to choose from, and the specials were tempting, rack of lamb with delicious sides or the swordfish. We didn't bite because those aren't our favorite dishes, but the grilled octopus was perfectly prepared! It was incredibly tender, which is not an easy food to get right! The veal Parmigiano was way more than I could finish, so I get to enjoy my meal twice!!! Surprisingly enough, the lentil soup as an appetizer brought me back to days with my Italian grandmother. It was exactly as I remembered it... delicious. I couldn't have left without sampling the creme Brule desert, once again, outstanding!!! First floor seating did end up being a little louder than expected, but all in all, a very comfortable ambiance. We look forward to a return visit during warmer days.

Had never been here, and hadn't even heard about it - it's a little off the regular Federal Hill scene - but came for granddaughter's graduation celebration. Fabulous setting - an old mansion with exquisite upscale feel, and excellent Italian food from apps and salads through to huge desserts. We were here for lunch, and the prices were exceptionally reasonable given the quality of everything - setting, service, food. Now that I know about it I will definitely return. If you're looking for reasonably priced upscale, this won't disappoint.

Terrific Evening! How many times do you mark a special occasion (birthday, anniversary, etc.) and the restaurant ignores it...not even a friendly congratulations? Not at maria's Cucina! We celebrated our anniversary and were warmly greeted with a complimentary glass of champagne to toast and celebrate. Great way to start the evening. Food was excellent from the Meatballs appetizer to the Burrata Salad (nice touch with beets instead of tomatoes) to the Braciole and Sea Bass entrees. Server (Nicholas B.) was top notch; knowledgeable about both the menu as well as the building and history. I could not recommend this classic more highly. We will definitely be back!

Made plans to visit the Italian American enclave and was impressed. The atmosphere and original 120 year old house was beautiful. The minute we walked in we knew we were in for a great experience . The menu was my style like any Nona would make and the waitress Francesca was great. We felt like we were guests in someone’s house and would be well taken of. The menu was all old school dishes. Less crowded with plenty of parking . Unlike the tourist Federal Hill. Can’t say enough good things . Bravo for keeping the traditions alive .

We were looking for a place to eat and just happened to drive by this Maria's Cucina. The house looked gorgeous from the outside and the place just drew us in. So glad it did, as this was a great spot for dinner. I had the chicken parmesan and it was pretty good. A little dry but still tasty and the portion was huge. My cousin had pasta with bolognese sauce and it looked yummy. What set this restaurant appart from others was the setting - a gorgeous Victorian house. We felt like visitor's in a private home! Our waiter was exceptional - funny, kind, and efficient. We asked him about the year of the building and he gave us a menu with the history on it - very interesting. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting or living in Providence.

The atmosphere in this 120-year-old house is wonderful, and the service is outstanding and attentive, and the wine list is interesting and Italian-intensive and worth exploring. But what makes this a must on any RI Italian food adventure is THE FOOD. It is splendid, wonderfully fresh and nicely crafted. From pasta dishes to the divine chicken marsala and seafood specialties (using Rhode Island's fabulous fresh local fare) to the various wonderful salads, everything was incredible. We luxuriated in the food. Go do it, too; you'll be really glad you did.

Went to lunch today with friends to celebrate the holiday season! The shrimp and scallops were delicious complimented with Red Velvet cake to die for! The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful with elegant furnishing, architecture and fresco paintings! Nothing like the character and craftsmanship of a historic building! Plan on returning soon to share the experience with my husband! Just a few blocks away from the famous "Federal Hill" but a must if visiting the Providence area!
