Excellent CD Set

First I must admit this is one of the best products from a third party seller on Amazon that I have ever received. Can’t say enough good things about this seller. I good go on and on and on.
Now on to the cd/dvd set. Haven’t seen the dvd yet. Listened to a few of the songs on YouTube before I received this set. Just got to say some of the best Christmas/ rock songs I have ever heard. Not all done traditionally but done brilliantly.
I’d love to see them perform live someday.
The one song that I hear on the radio played so much during the holiday season is Christmas Canon. One of their best done just as well by the children as the adults. This is the song that attracted me to this fantastic group.
If you haven’t heard this album or this group, give it a try. It won’t disappoint. And you can’t go wrong purchasing from this seller.

Great collection but some recording problems.

This is a great Christmas set in a very nice package. The box set or more of a "book" type fold open set is very well made and will look great in any CD or DVD collection. The extra DVD though lacking a good picture was better than I was expecting. While the picture quality is lacking the audio makes up for the poor picture. Besides it is a music collection first the DVD is just a bonus. The CD collection on the other hand was a little disappointing. A few songs on each disc were not recorded properly and becomes distorted even on moderate to low volume. I thought that I had a blown speaker the first few time I listened to this collection only to find that it is the set itself. This is not a problem with every song but each disc did have 2-3 songs that were improperly mixed. By the way this is not noticeable in my car or on my computer just on my home audio system that is powered by a Marantz SR7001 audio playback by a HD-XA1 with Onix RS450 Rockets. So the system is not the issue. Still even with this drawback this is still a great holiday collection at a great price and I would recommend it to anyone.

Be careful when buying used

I had previously purchased "The Lost Christmas Eve", primarily for the "Wizards in Winter" track, but I liked the rest of the album enough to keep my eye out for the whole trilogy.

Got this from Good Will, but found when it arrived that the Disc Wallet contained two copies of "The Christmas Attic" and no "The Lost Christmas Eve". That's fine for me, as I had already purchased that disc separately, but it was disappointing. When I contacted the seller (not realizing at the time that it was Good Will) they told me that it was doubtless a mistake made when cleaning the discs, but that at this point there was no way to track down the missing disc. They offered a refund, but I preferred not to return my prize, since it had what I had been missing.

As for the contents, they do not disappoint. Trans-Siberian Orchestra is not my normal genre, but when I'm in the mood for them, there's little else that can scratch that itch.

I have not yet watched the DVD, so I can't comment on that.

Very happy I bought the box set

I bought this box set after hearing only a few of the really popular TSO tracks on the local radio station that turns to Christmas only music after Thanksgiving. I figured if I bought a 3 cd set then I'd likely be set for life. With the amount of tracks on these discs I really am.
I did not spend a whole lot of time reading the product description as I ordered it in a spare 5 minutes at work and I was very surprised when I found that there is a DVD in this set also.
Having not known much about TSO before, (I know, where have I been the last few years?) I can happily say that I can now tolerate Christmas music again with TSO's fusion of rocking guitar and classical orchestration, there were only so many times I could hear someone sing "Happy Holidays...Happy Holidays...Happy Holidays."
This is a great addition to my wife's extensive and very worn out Christmas CD collection.
Product packaging and design is very nice and there is a really nice printed booklet included.
Also, kudos to Amazon for getting this to me only 3 days after ordering this with free super saver shipping during the mad Christmas rush!

Ohne Frage: Das Trans-Siberian-Orchestra ist die beste Möglichkeit weihnachtliche Musik auch für Liebhaber härterer Klänge zu liefern. Dabei lebt alles vom Spirit von Savatage! Geniale Arrangements klassischer Weihnachtslieder, wunderbare eigene Kompositionen...alles sehr toll.
Die mitgelieferte DVD ist wunderbar. Die Videos sind insgesamt schon sehr toll. Aber inbesondere das Video zu "Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24" ist so dermaßen schön...

Das einzige Manko: Die DVD ist eine Region 1! Das wird an keiner Stelle des Angebots erwähnt! Die DVD läßt sich daher nicht in einem regulären Region 2 Player (Europa) abspielen! Mal abgesehen davon, dass die DVD für mich das Kaufargument für diese Box war (die CDs ließen sich ingesamt billiger einzeln beschaffen), so müßte das doch ausdrücklich erwähnt werden, da man die DVD ohne Tricks auf keinem regulären europäischen DVD Player zum laufen bekommen dürfte.

Die Band kennen wir schon seit jahren, haben sie 2011 zum ersten mal live gesehen. Nach zwei gekauften regulären Alben war nun Zeit für diese Weihnachts-Compilation. Die Trilogie enhält drei Weihnachtsalben und eine (geniale) Bonus DVD, alles im Einheitslook in schöner Verpackung mit einem dicken Booklet. Leider haben wir gar nicht daran gedacht, dass die DVD mit den für uns falschen - nordamerikanischen - Ländercode ausgestattet ist. Nicht jeder DVD Player spielt diese Disc ab. Aber auch da kann man tricksen bzw. am PC abspielen.
