Adhyayan Suman was all praise for Kangana Ranaut in a recent interview. The actor dated Kangana from 2008 to 2009 before they eventually parted ways. Their break up was ugly, with Adhyayan making allegations of mental and physical abuse against her. Years after, Adhyayan has opened up about Kangana and praised her for her achievements. Addressing her recent entry into politics, Adhyayan said he believes she will do well in politics. For the unversed, Kangana joined BJP as a Lok Sabha candidate from Mandi earlier this month.
Speaking with IANS, Adhyayan said, “As far as Kangana Ranaut and her life is concerned, and her political career is concerned, I think she has done really well in her career as an actor, and I wish her all the very best for her political career as well.”
“I am very sure that she will do extremely well too. I wish her all the very best,” he added.
Adhyayan’s father, actor Shekhar Suman also spoke about Kangana Ranaut. Speaking with Zoom TV, Shekhar was asked if he would reconnect with Kangana after all these years, now that she has also entered politics and is in the same party that Shekhar supports. The actor said, “We are not hanging on to it – neither the family nor Adhyayan. It was a phase in their life. Who are we to comment and judge? The biggest problem is when we become judgmental. We have gone on our way and everyone is working towards their happiness and contentment. There is no point turning around or pointing fingers or saying ‘this is right’ or ‘this is wrong.”
Shekhar also revisited his son Adhyayan Suman’s break up with Kangana Ranaut and said that they were not destined to be together. The actor seemingly took a U-turn about his views on Kangana.
Meanwhile, Adhyayan and Shekhar will soon be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi. The series will release on Netflix on May 1.
