Knight wrote and performed all the parts on the album, crafting a folk-based journey, made up of short, punk rock-length, indie-alternative tunes about living in solitary, the woes of urban life, police corruption, and fireside omens from an owl.

Hello, Dalí.
Photos by JOSH A. KATZ
Hello, Dalí is my second solo album, and I'm stoked to share it with you. On Risky Calm Oddity, I played every instrument. On my follow up, I went to Petaluma, CA to record in a converted chicken coop recording studio in the wine country there. Samur Khouja joined me at Ryan Fritch's farmland abode for one weekend at the beginning of each of the last two summers, and the three of us made a magical album. Ryan I have known each other since the '90s in Florida and have played music with each other for almost twenty years. Having his lush strings and one-of-a-kind rhythms accompany my arrangements really gives the album a lift and brightness of the orange groves where we grew up.
If you haven't heard the wonderful music of William Ryan Fritch, please do yourself a favor and visit the whimsical world of my friend's myriad albums, soundtracks, film scores, and other musical wonders at www.williamryanfritch.com.
