It was very comfortable and convenient, also extremely family oriented area. I miss living here everday.
Nice neighborhood, very walkable. The school district is very nice- they have a wonderful sports program and just re did their fields. The school spirit is shown in other ways too, they have a parade every year that comes down the streets and is lovely to see. During Christmas season the fire department comes along with Santa as well so any little kids can meet him in person for free. There are nice trees all around and people decorate their yards and houses nicely. Not to mention the people are usually very sweet as well.
I have lived in Islip Terrace for my whole life. I couldn't ask for a better town. I am surrounded by loving people and a great atmosphere. I love the proximity to the beach, city and all the things to do out here.
