Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Dafydd WFareham, UK116 contributionsWent to see the Red Kites feeding at 3pm, amazing to watch.
Could not believe it was free to enter, just a small charge for parking.
Had an easy walk around the lake, looking at other wildlife, before settling down on the other side to where the feeding took place, fantastic view, could easily see the Red Kites with binoculars, they were too quick for me to get good pictures from my phone camera though.
If you read the information round the walk, it gives details about the Kites, how the feeding is helping numbers increase etc.
Had a drink in the cafe and then in the shop there is a video cam of baby owls, finished the day off nicely.
Would go back to complete some of the other walks, take a picnic.Written 3 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A beautifully converted old cinema, it's packed full of interesting local stories and displays. It's free, right in the middle of Aberystwyth and it has a very classy cafe. Go!Written 14 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

If you have kids aged between 4 and 10 I would say this is a perfect day out!!
We took our 5 and 2 year old. The 2 year old mostly just loved running around doing the sandpit and water play. But our 5 year old completely loved the more immersive and interactive tours. It tipped it down the entire time but we still spent 4+ hours here with the kids in puddle suits which I think speaks volumes. If you go here on a nice day I think it could definitely be an all day affair whether you choose to bring a picnic or utilise the cafe.
Good parking. It was £50 odd for 2 adults, 1 child. Our youngest was free. Obviously not cheap but like I say you can bring your own food and drink and treat it as a whole day activity.
I would like the mountain to please extend our thanks to "ivy" (pictured) the elf who took us on the dragon tour who was absolutely fantastic with our 5 year old, who got a bit nervous in the cave bit meeting the dragon. She was the perfect balance of patient and fun and we were so grateful. Our daughter has carried on talking about the "gigantifier" all holiday.Written 30 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The Gentleman’s walk had great variety, woodland, waterfalls, trails and wider tracks and some absolutely stunning views. Will definitely be back.Written 8 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Michael Marcotte34 contributionsI visited Aberystwyth as part of a 5-day small group tour of Wales. It is important to know that if you do such a tour, you most likely will only arrive in the late afternoon, and the tour does not actually take you to the castle ruins or elsewhere in the city (at least, mine did not), but rather just delivers you to to your seafront hotel. I walked down the sidewalk along the shore, and visited the castle ruins by myself, watched a a very ice sunset and then returned to the hotel for dinner. There is a small circle of Standing Stones on the castle grounds, but those are modern placements for festivals, not from Neolithic times. The tour left for the next destination, early the next day, so if if you want to see the ruins, ask your guide/driver whether that is included or something to do on your own, after arrival, as I did.Written 1 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - max 🍂Norwich, UK8 contributionsA super interesting attraction that goes beyond the typical idea of a library! Plenty to see, would highly recommend walking around the Broadcasting exhibit with their interactive audio tour.Written 8 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Explore7809252 contributionsAbsolutely magical!!! Like a secret garden with amazing flowers, plants, streams, ponds, sculptures and little houses and huts. We were met by a lovely retired couple that live there. Felt strange as the garden is behind their house but they are so welcoming and kind and love kids! Then you go off exploring and you’re completely out the way. The gardens are really big, we didn’t get chance to go through it all. They had made all these things himself. There’s a house made out of glass bottles and an amazing treehouse. It’s a MUST SEE! And all for charity! You can park there, it costs £12.50 for 2 adults and a child which is amazing for what you get. You can play with loads of instruments, there was nets to get bits out the pond. Their dogs are so lovely and made my toddlers trip so special!Written 3 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We didn’t get up close to it as we appreciated looking at it from the beachfront.Written 7 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ChrisHinckley, UK969 contributionsWe had a walk on the beach which is main stones with patches of sand closer to the water. The beach is nice to walk along, the path is nice but could be cleaner. - account2018Nuku'alofa, Tonga208 contributionsThe visitor centre is open again under new management. Nice 15 minute film on the dam project, and a few artefacts, interactives and displays, and a cafe.Written 20 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Helen HDriffield, UK3,653 contributionsWe parked on the other side of the pier and enjoyed 4 hours free parking! Great find while just driving around. We walked toward the Marina, next to the castle, past the war memorial towards south beach. It was a breezy day and the tide was in, so no beach walking for us that day! We then walked through the town, back down to the promenade and back to our camper van. Lovely bracing walk, with a hot coffee on the way for husband!Written 25 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
