Overall, my high school experience has been pretty good! The food isnt the greatest on campus and there is kind-of an insane amount of drug usage at the school, but its been pretty good otherwise. Some classes have been pretty challenging and the first 2 years of high school had me completely unprepared for junior year, but still, other than that it isnt really something im complaining about.
My time at Sequoia has given me many opportunities and support to follow. As an IB diploma candidate, I have found that teachers are more than willing to help support students when coursework picks up and want to see their students succeed for all the right reasons. Aside from academics, so many communities thrive on campus, which is beautifully reflected through clubs and student organizations. Finally, Sequoia gives students a glimpse of the world around them, being well-versed in local issues and always creating initiatives to improve their relationships with the community and students.
I had an amazing time during my 4 years at Sequoia. All of my teachers were extremely knowledgeable and always happy to help. They gave outstanding feedback on how to improve our scores, and provided different explanations if a concept wasn't making sense. All of my peers were extremely friendly. I found it to be an extremely welcoming and accepting community. I played sports and created strong bonds with many of my peers through athletics. I also feel its important to share that the coaches were all amazing. All of this was tied together with an amazing campus. Our walls are historic to say the least. We even had a forest that was open to students.
