Delicious food! This was our favourite place when visiting oberstaufen. The Käsespätzle were to die for! My partner also really enjoyed his meat dish, he said the sauce was reallllly good. Service was nice and attentive. I would recommend giving this place a try 😉

Took 30 minutes to get a menu and the waitress didn’t even apologise. Other customers were getting done dishes after the rest of the table had finished. We decided to leave without ordering.

Rustic and traditional place with typical food. Big portions but nothing fancy for sure. Meat was good, sauce tasted artificial and not homemade. Paying by credit card was not possible - huh!? We had to find a bank to withdraw cash, unacceptable in 2019..

What a great bar and restaurant. OK it's not fine dining but husband had one of the ugliest but tastiest meals ..in his words. Potatoes baked with black pudding and sauerkraut. Atmosphere was great, being a bank holiday everybody was in..shall we say high spirits. Wine was mediocre and over 4€ for a bottle of water is a bit steep. But a nice time.

We joined the restaurant on a Saturday evening with a bunch of people. The location is furnished with a very traditional and rustic Bavarian style. So far so good. Now to the food, it was looking nice but the taste was below average and the quality wasn't the best. The prices varies from 12-21€ and for a beer 3,50€ Weizen.
The service was short worded and rough.

We have eaten at this restaurant several times and each time we have received a warm welcome and the food has been excellent. The price-performance ratio is also still good.

We are here for the second time in 3 days and regret not having been here the day in between.
The food, with Allgäu specialties, was simply great. Since I once again forgot to mention that I am lactose intolerant, it was no problem for the kitchen to put a different dressing on my salad.
The 2 guys from the service knew exactly when to show up at the table to fulfill our wishes. Very accommodating, simply great

So I've been to Oberstaufen three times this year and have eaten at the Apostel very often. I was always very satisfied with the service, the food and if you have problems with the waiter you should tell him on the spot. I don't know any of the staff who come across as pushy or arrogant.

The food was basically good.
However, after we sat down, we were moved to a table at the side of the restaurant, close to the kitchen!
Not a nice place, maybe our face didn't fit!
Annoying, overambitious waiter, arrogant, who used the word "relaxed" to dozens of people all evening and mocked us and other guests.
So we won't be visiting there again
