Former Alabama football long snapper Carson Tinker wins Super Bowl ring on LA Rams practice squad

Former Alabama football long snapper Carson Tinker was a late-week addition to the Los Angeles Rams practice squad, meaning he will earn a Super Bowl 2022 ring. 

After the game, Tinker was on the field at Sofi Stadium and was able to take a photo with the Lombardi Trophy with his wife, Annie Bates and their son.  

Tinker will now be able to add a Super Bowl ring to his collection that includes three national championships (2009, 2011 and 2012) at Alabama. He was the starting long snapper on both the 2011 and 2012 teams.

During the 2011 tornado that went through Tuscaloosa, Tinker's girlfriend, Ashley Harrison, died after being thrown from his house. He was also injured. 

Tinker came to Alabama as a walk-on from Riverdale High in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He was awarded a scholarship before the 2012 season.

He started his NFL career as an undrafted free agent following the 2013 draft, signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He has spent time with the New York Giants, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Las Vegas Raiders during his seven year NFL career.
