CHARLES ELIAS DISNEY is the son of Raymond Arnold Disney and Meredith A. (Boyington) Disney (both deceased). He is named for his paternal grandfather who is Elias Charles Disney. His paternal grandmother is Flora (Call) Disney. His uncle is Walt Disney, a younger brother of his father. Charles Elias' step-brother is Daniel H. Disney.
Other family includes: uncles Herbert Arthur Disney, Roy Oliver Disney, and aunt Ruth Disney Beecher. First cousins include: Diane Marie Disney Miller, Sharon Mae Disney Brown Lund, Roy Edward Disney, Dorothy Disney Purder, and Theodore Warren Beecher.
Charles Elias Disney was married to Mary Elizabeth (O'Brien) Disney and they had one son Charles Roy "Charlie" Disney who both passed away in 1972 as the result of an auto accident. His son Charlie's middle name is "Roy" and he was named after his great uncle who is Roy Oliver Disney.
Charles Elias Disney adopted Cristian Petrea in 1999 after both of his parents passed away. He then became Cristian Petrea Disney. Cristian passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at the age of 24 in Romania as the result of Cardiomegaly or enlarged heart. Charles Elias Disney was at Cristian's bedside in Romania when his son passed from this life. Cristian was entombed next to his birth parents in Romania following a Roman Catholic Mass of Christian Burial.
