I've never seen this before, but I'm sure I saw the second short in a different movie. It wasn't bad, with same familiar faces not real bloody button but milding entertaining.
All of these shorts can be found in other anthology collections and/or the series Dead Hour so that’s not deja vous you’re experiencing.
So I had a great time with this film overall. Its very much a low budget indie film and an anthology so its a mixed bag. The film is very tongue in cheek horror much like Creepshow with the exception of the first segment The Banshee which is played more serious.
The best segments are easily the wrap around called The Dark Hour, Howl of a Good Time and Now That You're Dead. The last two I listed were written and directed by Patrick Rea so another win for him this year after his excellent film Enclosure aka Arbor Demon. So I think worth a watch for his segments alone! 3/5 stars.
