    Oslo’s best parc to visit
A very interesting place, amongst so many other in Oslo. A part of this public parc features 212 bronze and granite sculptures, all designed by Gustav Vigeland. The most popular one is the angry baby, but all are timeless and show the human nature as row as it can be.

The park has more than just the Vigeland statues
The Vigeland Park is just a part of the larger Frogner Park. There's a nice waterpark and a stadium, as well as all the walking paths. I read on their website that they build ski slopes in the winter, which must be fun. It's a good place for a picnic or a walk.

    Striking sculpture park
We visited Frogner Park in June and were surprised at how extensive the installation of “ the circle of life” by Gustav Vigeland was. Although the sculptures are all naked, it’s very tasteful. The park is also very beautiful and a lovely setting for the sculptures.

    Wonderful day
One of the few things that are free in Norway! Excellent visit, weather was perfect, and the sculptures amazing . Easy to get to ( No.12 tram from the waterfront, at the city hall pier) We wandered round the sculpture areas, and then explored the rest of the park, and found more statues in odd places. Well worth the 2 hours of the day. Take the tram back ( worth getting a 24 hour ticket from a 7-11 or kiosk) and change to the 19 At the main station, and head for The other park ( Eckland) another good walk, sculptures and views over the city .

    Do not miss this park!
A must see when in Oslo. If you love open spaces filled with beautiful, larger than life statues, this is your dream come true. The art is gorgeous and the park setting magical. When we visited, there were school age children in the park on a field trip and visitors from all over the world. A very happy place with nature, easy walking and lovely art.

    amazing
An absolutely amazing experience, there is so much to see, don't miss it. It is a very large park and was not crowded when we went. There are some parts that are accessible by many stairs so it might prove a little difficult for wheelchair users, having said that the park is vast and the statues are huge so i am sure you can get a good view anyway

Frogner Park & Vigeland's work but covered in snow!
We had the chance to visit Frogner Park in Oslo, draped in snow. It offered a breathtaking canvas for Norwegian sculptor Gustav Vigeland's masterpieces. The sculptures, blanketed in white, radiated a serene grandeur against the wintry backdrop, evoking a profound sense of awe and wonder. Vigeland's iconic creations, from the emotive "Angry Boy" to the serene "Monolith," stand as testaments to the human experience, their significance heightened by the ethereal beauty of the snow-covered park. As we traversed the pathways, each sculpture was telling us a story, inviting reflection and contemplation amidst the tranquility of the winter landscape. The interplay between Vigeland's artistry and the natural elements created a captivating harmony, drawing visitors into a world of timeless beauty and contemplation. Exploring Frogner Park in snow was not just a journey through nature; it was an immersion into the profound depths of human emotion and expression as captured by Vigeland's extraordinary vision.

A must see while in Oslo
This is a wonderful park open (and free!) to the public. The park contains numerous sculptures by the famous sculptor Gustav Vigeland and it’s truly awe inspiring to see these lifelike sculptures made of stone. On a sunny day you’ll find the park filled with locals taking advantage of the nice weather. The park is used for all kinds of recreational activities ranging from working out, dog walking, picnics, concerts, birthday celebrations, playing games, bird watching, etc. It’s very easy to get here from Oslo Central station either by tram, bus or subway (or simply by walking the few kilometers through the beautiful neighborhoods). In addition to the sculptures, the park contains cafeterias, tennis courts, a huge play ground for kids and swimming pools (extra cost).

Frogner Park is a beautiful urban park in Oslo Norway where the world-famous Vigelandsparken is situated. This is an attraction you should not miss while visiting lovely Oslo. The park contains amazing fountains and sculptures created by Gustav Vigeland that are integrated in an absolutely beautiful setting.

Gustav Vigeland (1869-1943) worked on the sculpture park from 1924 until his death in 1943. Frogner Park is a "must-see" fin Oslo! Highly recommend!

The park offers a wide collection of iconic sculptures. Excellent for a weekend stroll and maybe go for a picnic in the summer. Usually not too crowded but sometimes can be. It is a MUST visit when in Oslo.

Frogner Park (Vigeland Park unofficially with tourists) is one of those places I’ve been meaning to visit over the years but finally did it this trip. It’s a location to take your time with, to wander and ponder as you expolore the statues. It’s worth going first thing before the various coach tours unload and try and avoid those desperate to get photos on a 15min whistle stop tour. It’s also a great park to wander away from the statues and enjoy some quiet in the city and don’t miss the views over to Holmenkollen. The cafe near the front gates also a good place to rest and also has a small gift shop.

This is a very large park that was a lot of sculptures. The sculptures are without any name or description so it is fun to determine what you think they mean. The "angry boy" is the big crowd pleaser.

Sadly, the water in the fountains have been turned off to conserve water.

It is worth the trip - easy tram ride (#12) from the central train station in Oslo

The park is a lovely place to stretch your legs. The sculptures are interesting, note they are mostly or all nudes in case that surprises anyone. We also visited the City of Oslo museum in the park which was very interesting.

This park was designed by Gustav Vigeland as a place to feature his sculptures. The park can be separated into four sections. The first section is the bridge which has sculptures on both sides of it depicting people in all stages of life. All of the sculptures are nude so they are not dated by the clothing styles. The highlights on the bridge are the Angry Baby, the Wheel of Life, and Granddad with Grandson. There is a rose garden between the bridge and the next section which features tree sculptures that contain men and women in various stages of life. Don’t miss the panels that run along the outside edge of the fountain that begin with a baby and display the progression of life until death. When we were there, the main water fountain was not running due to a water shortage. The third section contains marble sculptures with very playful people around a tall monolith with many figures that took 14 years to be carved. The final sculpture contains another reference to the circle of life. We had a guide who helped point out the highlights, and we found this to be most helpful.
