Helena High School Reviews
Rating 3.55 out of 5 232 reviews
Overall an average experience. Resources are limited and good teachers are scarce. School is lacking in funding compared to similarly sized schools around the state. Good administrators are resigning this coming year which will be negative to the school's overall culture.
My best experience was meeting friends. I've met some of my best and closest friends there. I learned a lot, and can say I did develop some school spirit. I would also like to say that my counsellor was one of the only reasons I got through high school. She supported me through everything and helped me get through so much. Without her, I don't think I would have graduated. However, Helena High was not a place of enjoyment for me most days. There was a lot of stress from teachers and coaches. In the clubs I were in, the coaches were not helpful. They made my life much harder. I felt I had no voice and that I was just a figurehead as they ran everything. The administration also did very little to solve the problem of this, nor did they seem to care whatsoever.
I think when it comes to Helena High there is tons of support from staff, which helps so much. The staff will help with whatever you need. What I would want to see change is school spirit. I wish throughout my years that there were more things to participate in.
