Actor Diether Ocampo confirmed reports that he has been receiving death threats from an unidentified person, but he's not worried about it. In an interview with The Buzz yesterday, April 27, the actor also said that he has no enemies, so he is clueless about the identity of the person who is sending him these death threats.
"May tumawag kasi sa bahay ng mom ko. Ang nakasagot yung kasama niya sa bahay. [May death threat pero] hindi ko sineseryoso. Wala akong kaaway, wala akong ginagawang masama. Naapektuhan talaga pamilya ko, especially my mom," Diether narrated to The Buzz.
Following this, the Maligno actor also clarified the rumor about him crashing someone's car out of jealousy—allegedly over his longtime on-and-off girlfriend Kristine Hermosa.
In fact, Diether opened up and admitted that he and Kristine are no longer together. He also denied reports saying that they got back to each other.
"We're not together anymore. Hindi kami nagkabalikan. At this point, masasabi ko na medyo mahirap [but] we're moving on. Magiging mabuting magkaibigan muna kami," said Diether.
During their rough times, Diether recalled that he asked Kristine about what to do with their relatioship. "As far as I can remember, I asked her one time, ‘Are you willing to work this out?' I'm willing to give it [my] all," he said.
However, Diether said that Kristine answered him with "I'm not ready."
Diether confided that he and Kristine have to deal with their own issues, and thought that they could only have proper relationship once they have settled their personal problems.
Despite their separation, Diether admitted that he once hoped to have Kristine back during a fashion shoot with her recently in Boracay.
"That one, medyo okay na kami nun. We really had fun [when] we had a fashion shoot. Well, I was, hindi ko maitatanggi na sumagi sa isip ko na umasa," related Diether.
On the other hand, when Diether recalled the challenges that he and Kristine faced during their relationship, he admitted that it's not yet the right time for romance.
"Siguro nga it's about time na bigyan ko muna ng panahon ang sarili ko," ended Diether.
