Sunjay had sought the transferring of the divorce petition from Mumbai to Delhi because the businessman was allegedly warned by underworld don Ravi Pujari against entering the city.
Karisma and her husband had initially moved a mutual consent divorce petition before the court in 2014 and the consent was later withdrawn after differences cropped up between the two over the financial settlement as well as the children’s custody.
The bench was while dealing with an application filed by Sunjay Kapur seeking transfer of the couple’s matrimonial dispute from Mumbai to Delhi on the ground that he was facing a life threat from underworld gangster Ravi Pujari. (With ANI/PTI inputs)
