The re issues are a bit brighter in color(mostly noticeable on bebop) and do not have cell shading, and they also have the updated ball peg hip joints.

Older rocksteady is the one with a helmet & older bebop has the darker colors

Is it possible to get a picture of the old hip joint too? Why did people dislike the older hip joint and do you think it is worth buying the newer versions if you already own the older set? Thank you for this comparison post.
I would take a picture of my older Bepop figures hip joints, but they've both snapped in half. I just apoxyed the legs back onto the figure, and they can't be moved anymore, but it can at least stand straight up on my display. I think that pretty much sums up the old hip joints lol

It was more of a disk hinge. Sometimes very tight, sometimes too loose. I had to use kiki because mine were kinda loose. The new ball joints system it far better.

No problem. Hope you can find them. I couldn’t believe when I seen them just sitting there on the shelf. Amazing. Hopefully they will put them online as well.
Yeah, I was REALLY thrilled when I found one lone box with these two sitting there, at the 8th Target I tried (with countless multiple attempts at most of them). They also had a Pizza Club Leo. Still have not found a Donatello or a Raph, hoping they show up online, as I’m just not having any luck finding them.

It’s weird to not have the cell shading. I would have preferred without it, but at this point, at least be consistent.
I got everything during haulathon, these two were my last find and consequently the one that gave me the most joy. I never had the originals so was pretty stoked when I found out there was new opportunity with rerelease/reissue

I’ve been posing both around and they pretty much feel the same. Both needed to really be heated for better articulation, both rocksteadys had trouble standing but the older one was way worse, the ankle joints on him were very loose. Both the older ones also got kinda loose at the hip joints but I fixed that with some kiki fix loose joints stuff. The re issues have the updated ball joint hips, but mine were very tight and would click when I moved them so I had to use some silicone shock oil to loosen them on both and that fixed it. So both sets needed a bit of tweaking in order to articulate better, but afterwards they both feel equally good. But as for the style, I really do like the new updated brighter colors, but I actually think I prefer the darker colors on the older figures, and I kinda like the cell shaded look as well, so If I had to choose I think I would prefer the older style.
