Origin[]
As a youth, Adam Blake's latent mutation was activated by a passing comet. As an adult, he decided to use his powers for good with the help of the scientist Professor Zackro to stop criminals and alien invasions as Captain Comet.
Biography[]
Adam Blake was born in 1931 to John and Martha Blake. Soon after his birth, a comet streaked across the sky which was noticed by John and who called it a sign of good fortune. In fact, the comet emitted low-level radiation waves which triggered a mutation that gave young Adam heightened mental abilities. By age 4, young Adam developed innate detective skills, demonstrated by finding his mother's lost wedding ring under a wood pile.
