What travellers are saying
- Potomac_11Potomac, MD424 contributionsThe Strathmore is an excellent concert venue and a great asset to the Bethesda/Rockville area. We have seen some truly great performers here including Tony Bennet, Wynton Marsalis, Chris Botti, and soprano Aleksandra Kurzak.Written 3 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sherry S13 contributionsBest regional theatre in the area! Productions here are not to be missed. You
might not like the actual play, but it will always be well acted, directed, & staged! The Green corridor allows for a nice walk in the woods easily accessible from the city. There's lots of thinks to keep the kiddos entertained, but adults can also enjoy themselves as well.Written 18 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Don MBethesda, MD11 contributionsA puppet show based on the book "The Very Hungry Caterpillor" was exstremely well done, a professional performance. My 4 year old gandson had a great time. The facilty is first rate providing many programs for young children.Written 8 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jaseatonSilver Spring, MD2,483 contributionsWe went to see the Oscar-nominated live-action shorts at the Bethesda Row Theaters. Normally, this is one of favorite annual movie events, but if these five entries were the best of the 2023 batch, it was a very lean year. A lot of good acting, in all of them, but the concepts/stories were mostly “meh” including one written by Wes Andersen based on a story by Ronald Dahl and starring Ben Kingsley, Benedict Cumberbatch, Ralph Fuentes, and Dev Patel. I’m certain lots of perfectly sensible people adore “The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar.” But, honestly — my personal opinion — if a cast like that can’t make a film work, why make it in the first place?Written 18 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Januarybride01Town and Country, MO382 contributionsRented ebikes and enjoyed the trail from Bethesda to Georgetown where we had lunch at the Ritz. They will valet your bikes and make sure they are safe. Great scenery. It took about 40 minutes each way, going pretty fast. Would do it again for sure.Written 15 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Sherry S13 contributionsMy fave place to go on a Sunday morning! The freshest fruits & veggies around plus all kinds of prepared goodies. My fave vendors
are Two Acre Farm and Lobster-Mainia and the gluten free pasta vendor.Written 23 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Derek FBethesda, MD478 contributionsOpen from Memorial Day to Labor Day, the 50-meter outdoor pool and separate 25-yard lap pool are great for big and small swimmers. For lap swimmers, the lap pool has six lanes and for the kids there are two diving boards and a slide. There is also a mini wading area for toddlers.
The snack bar is overpriced. You’re better off bringing snacks or lunch from home.
Entry is cheaper if you’re an MD resident. You can also get a discounted pass. The only downside is the pool is only open in the afternoon, from noon to 6 pm, but never in the morning to the public.Written 30 September 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
