As a senior at Salesian College Preparatory, I am proud to say that I love my school. Salesian is a Catholic private school in Richmond, the atmosphere is always very welcoming. Teachers often try their best and put their best effort into helping the students understand the class materials. Since it's a private school each classroom would only be around 30 students to 1 teacher, so that teachers can really focus on students that need more attention. There are also a variety of sports and clubs at Salesian. As for myself, I am the co-president of Asian American Pacific Islander Club. I am also involved with robotics, sports medicine, math, campus ministry, and student ambassador clubs. Thanks to Salesian, I feel well-prepared for college and am graduating this year with a 4.41 GPA.
My experience at Salesian was good. The school is very welcoming to new students and has many clubs to join from. The food offered at Salesian is pretty good but a little expensive. The diversity of the school is amazing because no one judges based on race or skin tone. One thing I would change is the attitude of students coming into Salesian only because some are really loud and distracting to others.
My freshman year was done remotely and as you could imagine, it was difficult to integrate myself into the community. The worst part was not being able to meet my classmates in person, causing a disconnect in student life. Luckily, Salesian College Preparatory's best attribute is its welcoming environment. During my sophomore year when I finally step foot on campus, I was immediately greeted by friendly staff and students. It didn't take long for me to find my clique and befriend my teachers. Though the journey was not entirely smooth sailing, I wouldn't change anything. Every mistake and every event throughout my high school career happened for a reason and has shaped me into the individual I am today.
As a person of color Salesian was very welcoming and accepting which can be surprising. It tried its hardest within the catholic scope to generated an environment that allowed individuals to express themselves.
Salesian has a welcoming environment that draws you in. Everyone is very welcoming and you will always be included. When you come to Salesian you are bound to get an education at the level of a college prep institution.
Salesian was like my home away from home. The environment there was welcoming and was a place where I could share my interests and talents.
It's not bad of a high school, although it seems a bit difficult it can help you adjust to college life
I attended Salesian College Preparatory only in my senior year and it was amid the pandemic. My previous school was closed due to lack of funds. To not compare with the old school, Salesian is one of the largest private high schools in Richmond, California. Classrooms are new, huge and well-equipped. Teachers to me are extremely helpful and well-prepared before each lesson/lecture. The whole year was remote but I was able to use provided resources to fulfill homework and extracurriculars. The exterior is nowhere to be complained about. I wish I attended Salesian throughout high school, even before Covid 19 hit.
Salesian is very diverse and everyone is super nice. The teachers are always there to help you. The reason why i choose this school is because of their academics.
Salesian is a school that prides themselves on their education and reputation. Faculty will make sure that you are on track and learning the material. Students are very social and with such a small school, it creates a sense of community. Their basketball and football teams are some of the best in the state however sometimes these sports are given special treatment.
It’s a small school, with small class sizes. Teachers are available to help after school pretty much everyday. They have good sports teams, if your an athlete and you have a good chance getting scouted by colleges if you’re on varsity. You will meet great people abs it’s a very nice campus.
Very diverse and inclusive community. Everyday feels like an experience with an extended family. I wouldn't pick any other school.
My experience at this school is great ever since I started my freshmen year. I’ve enjoyed how every teacher there wants to see you succeed and will help you a lot to do so. The sports there like basketball won championships. We had festivals and much more events. One is even able to participate in them and it’ll give you an enjoyable experience. There are various clubs to join and electives to choose from. That’s what I like Salesian and there community.
it was alright i would say try to kick less people out because the fun people make the school. it was and okay experisnce to say the less. some teachers exppect more effort than the effort that they are giving
you've got to find the right group of friends in order to feel comfortable here, and if you're active in any extra currciculars the teachers become like your best friends.
Salesian College Preparatory is a great private institution for kids who are passionate about their academics. The teachers are really caring and want the students to succeed. This is one of the few institutions where teachers really work with the students to make sure they achieve their academic potential. The campus is constantly being renovated, food is alright, and the school really prepares kids for college. Tones of great resources!
Amazing place that feels more like family than school. Teachers care about our success as students and soon to be adults. We are contributing members of our community and excellent student-athletes.
