St. Mary's College High School Reviews
Rating 4.07 out of 5 238 reviews
St. Mary's College High School is committed to fostering college readiness among its student body. Many teachers make it their mission to ensure students don't slack; even if they do, there are protocols to get the student back on track. One of the best assets of the school is the academics and community. Experienced college counselors ensure that students receive tailored guidance throughout their academic journey. However, amidst these strengths lies instances of favoritism, particularly evident within the student council. This often goes unaddressed by the administration, fostering a sense of disenchantment among the student body. This is seen the most when the student who sucks up to administration the most has the most say in campus affairs. While more significant concerns such as substance abuse are met with due attention, the school's responsiveness to smaller yet significant matters that contribute to students' sense of security and well-being leaves room for improvement.
I have enjoyed my time at Saint Mary's College High School in Berkeley. Something I have found amazing is the amount of time that teachers dedicate to supporting students during and after school. I have also loved the opportunity called Enrichment Week that is provided every year. It is a week where students are given the opportunity to travel to other countries or stay in the Bay Area. No matter where you go, the school mixes educational experiences with fun activities.
It is not a bad school, honestly really good in terms of how hard the class are which prepare you for college-level courses.
