I would like to see more students understand that college is a real pathway for them because often they felt stuck especially because many were low income and had to work continue working to help their families. Many of them felt it wasn't a real option, I think they need to see more alum from there to hear their real hard cold experiences, both the good and the bad.
I am an Early College student from that high school and I prefer the early college program compared to the regular school. That is because I get the most help from my teachers when in this program, also allowing me to graduate with my Associates of Science. That would be the best part getting to experience this program at this high school. The worst part would probably be having to go to the high school and the staff does not know that students from the Eastfield ( the college we attend) go to Samuell from time to time. Also regular high schoolers think we are cooler than them because we are pursuing our Associates while in high school.
Effective teachers play a crucial role in a good school by delivering high-quality instruction, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment, and adapting to students' diverse learning needs. A supportive and engaging learning environment includes factors such as a safe and welcoming atmosphere, relevant and challenging curriculum, and access to modern educational technology.
Diverse extracurricular activities, ranging from sports to arts and clubs, provide students with opportunities to explore their interests, develop social skills, and enhance their overall well-being. Strong leadership is vital for setting a clear vision, promoting a positive school culture, and ensuring effective communication among staff, students, and parents.
Up-to-date resources, including textbooks, technology, and facilities, contribute to a dynamic and relevant learning experience. Additionally, a good school promotes collaboration among teachers, encourages parental involvement
