Anne Murray has sold millions and millions of records and CDs, won countless awards, and a number of her records have been featured in movies. Her warm alto voice has gained Anne Murray fans all over the world. In the mid-90s, she teamed up with producer Tommy West to release Croonin', a wonderful album of standards that sold very well through TV without the benefit of a hit single.
This DVD features the Anne Murray TV Special recorded 19th April 1975 very early in her career - a must have collector's item...
Anne Murray is simply one of the most successful female artists in the history of Country music. Beginning with Snowbird in 1970, a Top Ten in both pop and Country, Anne Murray had major hits across a span of two decades. These hits included "Cotton Jenny," "Danny's Song," "Walk Right Back," the classic "You Needed Me" (her first record to hit the #1 slot on the pop charts), "Daydream Believer," "Could I Have This Dance," "A Little Good News," and many many more.

nostalgia only.

Grainy
Reviewed in the United States on November 27, 2012Verified Purchase
This DVD is not the best quality, the picture is grainy and the lighting looks like nightclub lighting, lots of dark areas. I would not purchase this video again but it was interesting to be reminded of the early Anne. I have been a fan of Anne Murray since her early days and this video demonstrated how really good she was even in the beginning. The quality of the video is poor but her voice is as great in 1975 as it is in her later albums and TV specials. No artiface, no bells and whistles, just wonderful pure music.

For real fans
Reviewed in the United States on April 10, 2014Verified Purchase
This is a very early career video that shows Anne's youth with all its spunk, unbridled stage fun and confidence in herself. This is before the more sophisticated, well-groomed image of her later career. A lot of fun to watch and is definitely for real fans.
