As the star of the super-millennial iCarly, perhaps it shouldn’t be a complete surprise that Sparks Fly is bedecked in modern electronic rhythms and icy hooks, yet the glassy surface sheen flies in the face of the natural charm Cosgrove displays on iCarly and its accompanying soundtrack. Miranda winds up buried underneath the weight of production on Sparks Fly.
Another short little teen pop album from my list, of course this isn't anything groundbreaking - but it's a sweet album.
Miranda has a nice voice, and the production here is really enjoyable too. Doesn't deserve a score in the yellow - but it's understandable since this isn't something super exciting or interesting.
Following her 'iCarly' fame, the Los Angeles actress' debut album is completely teen pop; however, instead of sounding like a motivational poster you'd hear on a retailer ad, it's a strong showing of what a celebrity who has all of the resources they want can make.
