US-Israeli Gaza genocide

More than seven months into Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza, the regime’s relentless airstrikes and artillery fire continue to kill more innocent civilians across the Palestinian territory. At least 82 Palestinian have been killed and more than 230 others injured in a single day. The north saw seven deaths from an airstrike in Beit Lahia, with several other casualties in Jabalia and Tal al-Za’atar. Central regions reported six deaths from artillery attacks on Nuseirat and Bureij refugee camps. In the south, an airstrike on Yabna camp near the city of Rafah resulted in one death and three injuries. Gaza city reported three deaths and nine injuries from Israeli artillery fire targeting Al-Zaytoun neighborhood. Since 7th of October, Israeli regime’s genocidal war has claimed 35,173 Palestinian lives, most of them women and children.

Gaza death toll

The World Health Organization has voiced full confidence in death toll figures announced by the Gaza Ministry of Health after Israel raised questions about the numbers. Christian Lindmeier also noted that changes in casualty statistics during a war are natural, and the Israeli regime has also changed its own casualty statistics after review. Last week, after the Gaza Health Ministry released new and different statistics on the number of war casualties, the Israeli regime accused it of lying because the number of women and children was less than what had been previously announced.

'West abetting Israeli crimes'

Iran has strongly condemned Australia’s sanctions against a number of Iranian senior officials, entities and companies allegedly over the country’s peaceful missile and drone programs. The Foreign Ministry spokesman also slammed the silence of Australia and its allies in the face of Israel’s violations of international law and its recent attack on the Iranian embassy premises in Syria. Nasser Kan'ani said this silence clearly proves the double-standard approach adopted by Australia and its allies to developments in West Asia. He said such an approach only encourages Israeli to further violate the rules of international law and commit more war crimes. Kan'ani added that Iran reserves the right to take reciprocal action in response to Canberra’s latest sanctions.
