Chicago exceeded last season’s total of three wins on April 21 and brings a three-match winning streak off a bye week last week. The Free Jacks bounced back last week with a victory. The Hounds, in their second season in Major League Rugby, stand second in the Eastern Conference behind New England, which won its first MLR Shield last season after reaching the playoffs for the first time in 2022. The Free Jacks played their first MLR season in 2020.

New England won the first meeting between the teams 22-17 at Chicago, picking up four points while the Hounds earned a bonus point for losing by fewer than seven points.
