- Penny CUnion, New Jersey22 contributionsHappy Memories made in Storybook LandHidden Gem only 20 minutes from Atlantic City for little kids and parents. Family amusement park that is reasonably priced with plenty to do and see. Much better than boardwalk rides. Took grandkids, 3 years old and 18 months old on a Wednesday. Bought tickets on-line and check in was a breeze. Got there early and was able to park in front. Otherwise there is a large dirt parking lot on the side. They have cafe to purchase food and plenty of tables for picnicking. Bringing your own food is allowed. Re-entering park is allowed with hand stamped . There is height restrictions on rides but many rides allow an adult to accompany. Lines move relatively fast. Good selection of rides from gentle train rides to crazy spinning rides. So much fun. Then there are storybook buildings like Goldilocks and theThree Bears where my grandkids love pushing a button to hear the story told with mechanical animated puppets. The park is laid out nicely with nice wide paths for strollers, seating along the way, tall shaded trees, beautiful landscape of flowers. It is very clean and the staff manning the rides are attentive. My family had the best day and my grandkids passed out on the ride home! Storybook Land is a great day trip for the family.Visited August 2023Traveled with familyWritten August 25, 2023

Stay away. We bought advance tickets & made a reservation (due to covid) that there website recommended for a sunday . A friend of ours wanted to come last minute & had she not checked the website & saw there policies changed we would have drove 2 hours to a CLOSED storybook land. They would not refund our money or did they even feel they should let any of there guests know they are now closed sunday & monday . Screw you basically. The rude & disrespectful manager wouldnt even get on the phone. Terrible service!!

This is our second time here and it is the perfect park for small children ...easy parking, clean, minimal lines, friendly staff, easy walking and shaded!! The kids love pressing the buttons in the little houses to see the nursery rhymes come to life. The rides are cute and definitely for small children, parents can ride too if kids are too small!! The water area is open but we didn’t use it this time. You can also still feed the goats and the deer. The best part is that you can bring your own food and there are tables , benches, pavilions where you can eat. The staff is friendly and accommodating.
Now with Covid they are limiting capacity and suggest reserving a date online. Masks are required and it was one of the few places I’ve been where I’ve seen everyone ....staff and guests...compliant with masks the whole time. You can take them off when you are sitting down to eat. Since the park is shady, masks were not a problem (even for the little ones 6,6 and 4y/o) The rides are spaced every other seat and are sanitized before the next group gets on (those seats are left open and then they use the opposite ones and vice versa). There are also hand sanitizing stations at every ride. I felt like the park maximized safety in this difficult era and everyone was respectful of social distancing.
Finally, there is a small gift store on the way out. We highly recommend this park!! Go before the kids get too big !!

I can’t stop raving about storybook land VERY clean, sanitizer everywhere, even bathrooms were extremely clean (which you don’t find often at public places). 50% capacity works perfect for this place because you are hardly waiting for rides. So professional & the day we went we received 3 free ice creams :) worth every penny.

Christmas was great. Without Santa lighting the park this would is not worth the $29 ticket. My first trip was because of “tradition”. It’s cute the animals I thought was the best part for me as an adult but the kids we were with loved it.

Fantastic family experience especially for kids 10 years and under! Clean, so well-maintained, natural shade under the trees, a beautiful park. The best young staff members ever! Terrific selection of rides, all very safe. Admission fee at the gate means no fumbling for tickets throughout the park. It’s easy to stay for many hours! Filled with nice families with great kids. If my grandchildren lived closer to me, we would buy a season pass and go several times a year!

We had an absolutely wonderful time here with our almost-3 year old. The park is clean and well-maintained, and we loved that the park has lots of big trees to provide shade on a hot day. The staff is professional and friendly. We were really impressed by the attention to detail and creativity. Our son was able to go on his favorite rides multiple times because there were barely any lines! We also appreciated the policy of allowing visitors to bring in food and beverages and that there aren't merchandise stands everywhere - these little things really foster an enjoyable family experience. We will definitely be back!

We went on first day of park opening. Excellent sanitation and social distancing measures taken at the park.
Every seat was sanitized after each ride. Hand sanitizers kept at exit of all rides. Deep cleaning and sanitation done at intervals everywhere.

I’ve been to Storybook Land, Sesame Place, Land of Make Believe, Dutch Wonderland, etc. all multiple times. Storybook Land always gets the #1 spot. The bathrooms are spotless and even smells like lemon. The park is super clean. Staff are all good. Lines never long. The place is run like a well oiled machine. I live near Sesame Place and have season passes because it’s so close. Sesame Place is a sewer compared to Storybook Land and should should hire whoever runs Storybook Land to help them get their act together.

....meaning... the lines were long... my three kids 7-5 and 3- couldn't all ride the same rides due to height requirements. It was crowded, etc.
Storybook Land really is a GEM!

My daughter is 10 months old, would she be able to go on the rides here? Or should i wait until next summer?

You can definitely enjoy the photo opportunities and the splash area .. and some rides.. I say it’s worth it to go if u have other friends with older children to enjoy it with, and under two is free .. so why not?

Is this park good for a one year old?
Kathy P

Yes because you can go on all the rides with them. My son loved this park. Still wants to go back but he is 6' tall and will not fit on the rides...lol. It is a great family owned park. Get on there mailing list, they have great holiday events.
Currently I only see weekend Hours on the website. Is this always the case or will they open to weekday hours as the Spring/summer progresses?

Storybook Land is great for children 1 yr and up. We loved this park when my son was little because we could get on all the rides with him. Standing watching your child be upset is not good, which is what happens at most amusement parks. You can bring your own food in, they have a picnic area or you can buy food there. The food is fine not too high priced. It is family owned. Very nice place. They also do fun holiday stuff for the kids. East Egg hunts, Halloween corm maze and the Christmas holiday light display. My son is 15 now and just under 6ft tall so we cannot go to this park any longer:(. The kids will love it. All storybook themed, clean and fun for kids and parents. Hope this helps.

I'm seeing on the website that my kiddo will need to be accompanied by an adult on most rides. Will the rides accommodate adults of a larger size?
Sunil S
New York City, NY5 contributions
Yes, most (if not almost all) accommodate adults. I'm somewhat tall (6'2") and I have been on all the rides with my kid.

Is there activities indoors if we get too cold outside?
Jessica F
Egg Harbor Township, NJ
Hello! We have two full-service snack bars and a gift shop. Santa's House is indoors as well. Most of the attractions are outside, but you can go inside any of these buildings whenever you want to warm up!
Thank you! We'll see you soon!
