Katrina Kaif is very professional and hardworking: ‘Tiger 3’ actress Simran Bagga

Simran Bagga surprised everyone with her performance in ‘Tiger 3’. The actress has now shed light on how she bagged the project, her experience of working with Salman-Katrina and much more… excerpts:
It is good to see you doing more films… Are you choosing your roles or are they falling in your lap?
I believe in choosing roles as they fall in my lap.It’s important to do roles with more significance but it’s really thrilling to play the love interest of the hero in the movie, which I am not in Tiger 3.
You quite surprised us in Tiger 3… Were you reluctant to play the Pakistani Prime Minister's part?
It was my choice to work in Tamil and Telugu movies, so for that reason people in Hindi hardly know me. But OTT has brought the world together, there are no boundaries if you are talented. So Tiger happened since I did Rocketry and Gulmohar already. I was excited to be part of the spy universe and that too playing a Pakistani PM who wants peace for her country, it’s a good cause. I am appreciated for my role in the movie.
In an environment when Pakistan and India don't share a great relationship, it looks like Tiger 3 plays a cultural ambassador... Your take on it?
It’s really hurtful to see humanity suffer because of politics and social media users have their personal interest in promoting themselves. At least this movie is talking about clearing the differences between two countries and it’s just a movie which entertains people . I am glad it’s doing so well .
Share you experience of working with Salman khan and Katrina Kaif.
It was a very glamorous and starstruck experience while shooting with Salman. I hope I get to work with him again soon. Katrina is also very professional and hardworking. I enjoyed working with her too.
One cannot not talk about Gulmohar… share something about it...
Gulmohar was a family entertainer. It was a lovely experience working with Sharmila ji, she is so simple and down to earth. She carries such a positive aura. Sharmila ji is very caring and I love her . Manoj is a powerhouse of performer and our onscreen chemistry worked very well I feel. Rahul, the director of Gulmohar, made such a lovely movie at such a young age. It is commendable. The way he poured love and happiness on the sets of Gulmohar, it reflects onscreen.
Manoj Bajpayee has finally got his most deserved place in the industry… what did you learn from him?
Manoj ji is such a humorous and simple man. He never gives up , that’s what motivates me about him. He is a phenomenal actor. I am extremely happy the way his career shaped up Want to see him more on screen. I wish him luck.
Most actors tend to get too involved in the character, what is your process?
If there is more potential in the character I am playing, then yes, I do give my inputs but I never force any of my directors to imbibe it. And with male actors, I feel the responsibility of the whole movie is huge and being part of the script is not wrong at all , contrary it’s for the betterment of the script.
