Paper.io is one of the top trending IO games of 2020, and for good reason. This frantic real-time multiplayer pits players against each other with the goal of capturing as many territories as you can in the allotted time. To do this you need to create loops around the territory with your character, which can become pretty hectic fairly quickly.

Slither.io is a game where you control a worm and do your best to eat as many colored pellets as possible. OK, that may sound strange, but it's actually a lot of fun. As one of the first .io games ever made, it's an addictive multiplier game where the more pellets you eat, the larger you grow — only there's a twist: bigger worms can also eat you. As a result, you're incentivized to eat as many pellets as possible so that you can become the largest worm on the map and literally eat all the competition.

As the first of its kind, Agar.io is an online strategy game that was originally built as a browser game. However, after seeing the popularity of the game it was soon brought to Miniclip. Eventually, it also became a mobile game, so basically what we're trying to say is that it's really, really popular. In the game, you control a sphere and try to eat smaller spheres to get larger. You'll need to be careful because there's always a bigger sphere, and if you get eaten it's game over. s

"Eat fish, become the shark." This, in a nutshell, is the premise of Deeeep.io. As the game progresses you evolve into various forms of fish (and crabs) as you try to eat as much food as you can while avoid becoming food for someone else. Sometimes you can be aggressive when you're the largest creature, but other times you will need to hide when the big fish come around. That said, the game really picks up when you move from prey to predator.

Gartic.io takes .IO games in a different direction from most of the typical eat-or-be-eaten games. Instead, this game offers a far more relaxing experience. Similar to how Charades work, the game starts with one player drawing a random word. The rest of the players will then need to try and guess what was drawn. Additionally, you don't need to worry about keeping score because the game does that for you.

Warbot.io is different from many other IO games in that it features 3D graphics. The game is a top-down shooter where you make your way through a battlefield in an attempt to collect power-ups and other gear to get stronger and rise on the leaderboard. The graphics are pretty sharp, but be prepared for slower loading times if you're using an old or outdated web browser.

Not only is tacticscore.io a blast to play, it's also one of the more technically advanced IO games, meaning the graphics and frame rate are impressively smooth. It's an engaging MOBA shooter where you control giant machines as you seek to completely obliterate your opponents. The more enemies you and your team blast, the stronger you become. With lots of cool jets, bombers, and even tanks to choose from, there's a surprising amount of variety to be hard here.
