I like that Hooper faked the takedown to throw that overhand. The obvious technique for that type of matchup but it's great to see bjj fighters do the simple things that they should instead of what we usually get with the likes of Dern sprinting at girls winging punches
Chase looked like a more complete fighter for sure
This may seem like a harsh knee jerk comment but chase probably will barely compete with top 15 lightweights and will have no chance to win against the top 10 unless he very much levels up his striking and takedowns. At 24 years old the door isn't closed but in 5 years we will know exactly what hooper can be long term.
Maybe he goes FWT?
Maybe he gets yoked
I was pretty impressed with him looking game on the feet against Fiore a couple of fights ago.
To show that same kind of confidence against a genuinely dangerous guy like Borschev is really encouraging - I thought the striking was going to be a hard limiter on his career.
Just nice to see a guy implement things that will work because of his established game rather than trying to go straight to Bangkok Ready
hit him with the TAM special
He looked like a whole new fighter, he really grew into his stronger adult body and seems to have been growing his skillset as well. Excited to see him fight again.
The ceilings looking high for American Kopylov
I hope they just continue to give Lewis favorable matchups forever so he can keep extending the KO record lmao.
Legitimately no reason to give Lewis, who's 39 and never going to sniff the title outside of favorable matchmaking again, any grapplers.
Just give him fringe fat boys to swang and bang with for a few more years.
They have to do him vs. Rozenstreik now I feel. Google thinks they are the same person. It’s what the people want.
Bigi Boi looked pretty fucking awful in his last fight, his last couple in general. I think Lewis Ngannou's him in a round.
He looked awful vs Shamil? He completely tooled him for like 18 of the 20 minutes in that fight before Shamil quit and was landing at what felt like a 60-ish % clip.
Shamil is absolute shite and Rozenstruik was always gonna beat the shit out of him, but I don’t think he looked bad in that fight at all tbh
You mean he's gonna do nothing for three rounds and lose?
Bigi has always been overrated
Just take a look at his record, he shits the bed against anyone with talent in the rankings.
JDS and Overreem are his best wins
Its not like he fought either of them in their prime either
I think it's more likely to just end up being a Lewis-Ngannou type of fight.
Yup. Fan favorite, no longer in title contention, tail end of career. Lewis makes fighting nobodies entertaining as long as he doesn't get lay and prayed. Perfect fighter to make fights based on enternatinment value.
Besides, we still need him to land that jumping switch kick KO.
We saw him land that flying knee. I feel like that's enough lol
Just make him and Tuivasa fight over and over again.
I mean, they both have similar ceilings. Fat boys that can swang n bang.
If the fat boys get past Arlovski then they have to survive against Lewis in their next fight
I think if you can't get past Arlovski, you should be immediately cut.
Agreed. Just checked and it looks like the last 4 guys Arlovski beat have actually been released by the UFC lol
Arlovski should be able to fight on TRT.
Nascimento was fighting for his freedom, he didn't wanna be trapped at the apex like the rest of that covid guys
Derrick referred to him as a taxi driver. My man just KOed an Uber driver.
More like Fake Taxi
I initially read the title as "Homeless man" instead of "Nameless man".
wouldnt pick up popeyes on the way home
Lomachenko furiously taking notes.
You mean Derrick Lewis knocks out cab driver? heheheh
Pls everycard does not need to be ufc 300 for it to be enjoyable.. I Had fun watching this card.
this card was really really really fucking fun for a typical fight night travel card. the brutalizations, the robberies, imo it was one of the better fight nights this year. i hesitate to call it the best but i can't recall anything that comes close to what we got lmao.
Seems fair, it has been a particularly rough year
ank vs walker 2, and pyfer vs hermansson are the only ones i can recall coming close, but those were debatebly saved by the main cards.
slava claus and t-wrecks getting sacrificed for our entertainment really made the prelims special, even after some duds.
When they released the card, I thought it was way better than 301, and it lived up to my expectations.
It’s fun, but so is regional MMA for a fraction of the cost.

PPVs cost nothing if you have russian link
I didn't think it was gonna be good but it was pretty awesome imo
Each their own, but I couldn't even be bothered watching it
People that rip on cards like this are casuals, it’s awesome to see top of the division big name fights, don’t get me wrong. But for people who just love the sport, any card with high level fighters going at it is a perfect Saturday night.
Robellis Despaigne is high level ?
In a very literal sense I suppose
Anyone who is fighting in the UFC is a relatively high level I’d say
Ah yes, high level MMA fighter CM Punk
Calling Jack Slack a casual with a straight face must have taken some effort.
How do you know I had a straight face
Nascimento is the opposite of high level
This jack slack guy is very disrespectful to the fighters, like a lot of mma youtubers.
Read the articles for respect, listen to the podcast for bants
Also the titles are there to make you laugh. I try to be more evenhanded in the actual discussion.
Yeah titles are funny and all, but can you explain the nuances of the leg locking game to the MMA crowd without using the word 'shootout'?
My weakness :(
lol it's a bit like Might Mouse constantly talking about 'the void'
Just say skill issue if they don't understand
You're doing fine brother, don't let comments change your style unless you yourself agree.
Leg Entanglement At The OK Corral
Deep cut. Only real headz know.
Roman vs Cody killing the king when
Can't believe you'd blatantly slander a guy who beat the uniquely innovative DonTale Mayes (of cup-to-head-strikes fame) twice, I mean that's the 15th best heavyweight fighter in the world right there, not just anyone can take Ilir Latifi to a dominant split decision like that.
he's even more relentless to tennis players, zero chil smh
He used to be better to the fighters but he's a bit more dickish these days
I mean I used to write articles, where you can't read tone. This is a podcast, and I spend a lot of the time laughing and using obvious hyperbole
Not so obvious apparently lol
Back in the article days there was a dude on here who was really angry that I once said Fabio Maldonado gets offended if you throw a punch and miss him. After that I learned that you have to write jk for it to register.
it's totally obvious unless you're hard-of-thinking
I admire how you often have the right to be an asshole to people on reddit but just aren't. If I were you I'd have called a dozen people or so Valentina mains and logged out by now
He’s always super disrespectful to fighters and quick to discount their effort. It’s unprofessional.
The irony of using a pseudonym and hiding your face while calling someone who fought in front of a crowd nameless is rich.
I'm a certified Jack Slack dick rider. But objectively speaking, TJ Dillashaw acknowledged his knowledge on MMA and straight up said he beat Renan Barao because of him.
Dude's just poking fun. Derrick himself called his opponent "cab driver." Lighten up a bit and have a laugh
He has more than 3 times as many followers as the guy so does that even it out? Does nascimento have a podcast? Lol
True, if Nascimento really wants to make it he should start a miserable podcast where he shits on people far more talented than himself.
