Staff here are pleasant enough but lack emotional intelligence, foresight and common sense. We arrived at 10:30pm on a Saturday night with 2 children. My Monaco resident sister ordered us pizzas ahead of time to be delivered to the hotel as we weren't able to secure a restaurant reservation at short notice for 6 people (My family of 4 plus sister and brother in-law). We took the pizzas to a sitting area near the pool table and was quickly albeit politely that we couldn't eat our pizzas there. The vicinity was empty except for three other people in the bar area. I went to reception to confirm if this was indeed the case that we could sit and eat our pizzas and I was told that I could eat our pizzas in our room. How unhelpful. Fair enough there are some rules in place if the bar was busy and at peak dining times that we should be asked to consume food else where but not at 10:30pm at night with 2 hungry children, excited to see their Aunt and Uncle. I thought this was absurd that the staff simply could not see the situation for what it was and would not accommodate our situation.
