This is the event Gabby been talking about that took place in Aug. I use to follow her on IG and she randomly posted a video of Chris mopping the floor with her. She tried to kick him out the apartment and he said “ The apartment I paid for” and whooped her. It was all caught on Monique’s Ring cam.
Hopefully they keep him in prison for a long time.

I agree, but also think this is a very realistic and foreseeable outcome for someone dating a violent inmate. I’ve seen the same said about some of those obviously spiraling with drug use, but I’m not sure they should only portray the “ideal” situations either

When WeTv first started airing this show they always said they will never have offenders that are violent or were locked up due to victimizing someone one way or another so they could never profit off of their crimes. They claimed only the participants that weren’t the inmates got paid but we all know the inmates got a cut & made money somehow, someway! Bullshit. Sara (season 4 Sara & shawn) was incarcerated after she was involved in the death of her friend overdosing. Doug (also season 4 Doug & Rachel) we all know how violent he turned out. I’m not sure about prior to his most recent arrest where he tied up & tortured someone then went on a crazy violent spree. I’m sure the list can go on if I really took the time to look into them all, but something tells me they (WeTv) knew he had violent tendencies. Either they don’t research these people well enough or they don’t care then let these people get their 5 minutes of fame & end up profiting anyways somehow. It’s pretty messed up for the ones that have victims involved & the ones who end up getting hurt somehow by these people.

Since we were in school at the time, I didn't tell anyone, but one of our mutual friends happened to see my printout of my recounting him hitting me for my women's studies class (this was when basically EVERYONE printed in the lab and you handed it in). He was the only one who knew about it in real time, and he's always asked me if it was true even though he was the one who accidentally stumbled upon my printed story of it happening. I've actually always held a deep shame about it. But you're right, he's the only one who needs to hold any shame about it.... I think I'll need to write about this in my Medium account 😩

I agree with you that abusers come in all status areas of life, but I do think there’s merit to the idea that they can commonly be found, and/or created, in the prison system. I think the PSA mentioned by the above comment would be appropriate.
Being an inmate doesn't automatically make you a violent sociopath. My husband was locked up for 8 years and is one of the sweetest, kindest, most reliable and wonderful people you'll ever meet. People even abandoned me before EVER meeting him, solely bc he had been locked up. It was heartbreaking, and they were all very wrong. Please, don't judge all inmates based on the shitty ones out there like this loser. There are a lot of people who get locked up that just need some guidance and someone to care about them a little. :(

Not to excuse this, but I don't think Chris is right in the head. He was talking about how much time he did in solitary one episode and that is not good for people. I hope he gets some help while inside, but sadly jail does rehabilitate people.
Can confirm. My sons father did 6 months in the hole and also is not right in the head. I didn’t know this information until it was too late. And he was abusive. Typical narcissist and manipulator.
I don't remember exactly how long he said he was in solitary but it was a long time.
I think he said about 276 days. Don’t quote me on that but I believe that’s the number.
He was not right in the head before ~most people don't get themselves in solitary. He got himself there over and over. Probably from being a violent pos which no doubt came before the solitary confinement. There is zero excuse for what he did~including the solitary confinement he did. His nature caused his punishment to start with. These men never change, they get smarter and more violent. Our prisons don't care at all about rehabilitation that I agree with. But all the rehabilitation in the world doesn't change those that beat on other people. They are missing something long before they are caught. He should stay in prison.
Some inmates also seek solitary confinement for the safety that comes with it though. He could have been SA in there at some point, happens more often then most people would think. I’ve actually noticed he wears his pants extremely low under his butt and that normally means something in there.

These thoughts or opinions are one of the reasons women stay. I want you to imagine that gabby is ANY WOMAN IN YOUR LIFE! The most dangerous time for any domestic violence victim is when they leave or attempt to. Many many many of them run and fear for their lives to only have comments like these said to them over and over.
Ask yourself if you have ever been a prisoner? Ever woke up after barely sleeping at all knowing someone wants to kill you? Have you ever worried that your children’s father might kill them? Well I have. And million other women/men have. If you can’t even imagine that then you have no business commenting.

Domestic Violence starts long before the actual beatings start. There is a progression. Most survivors agree that the mental and emotional abuse is the hardest part to recover from.
Physical injuries eventually heal and scar up. The wounds left on a victim mentally and emotionally are open for a long time.

Domestic violence is real and it could happen to anyone. I think they should show how it really is sometimes in life. Is it easy to watch? No, But it’s real and the more we see it, the more we can advocate for the victims! It takes away the stigma in a way. Not only that but, these are real life scenarios. Everyone always says I would never do this or that or be with an inmate but, I know that it happens anyway. This is basically a show about how well you can get to know people with limited communication and visits, basically just see them or hear them on the phone. You can spend your life with someone and never fully know them, know them! The same as you can hide a lot if y’all you are doing is talking over a phone. Inmates are there because they were dishonest in some way or form. Or they’re innocents. Yes, SOME people change but, a majority do not.
First rule of Prison talk 101- you aren’t the only person they talk to. Some don’t have families and so they befriend others so they get some money on commissary. Most will lie or do whatever they have to do that they can ensure they have everything they need and want.
That being said, I can see the allure- someone who you don’t have to take care of except for financially(if you do) someone who you know can’t cheat lol. Someone who is consistent with their calls because they only get certain times unless they got a cell. You have all the time to do whatever, you don’t have to mesh together because you don’t live together. The bad part is that when your inmate gets out they gain freedom meaning that the consistency can disappear, they can talk to whomever they want and go where they want. Now, they can be the person they really are! This past fridays episode highlighted that!

She has mental health issues clearly by the way she acts and likes to aggravate and demean people and he is just an absolute piece of garbage. I never understood what they saw in each other. He is about 100lbs soaking wet so he probably only fights women and his mom is no better acting like he is some type of decent human being. Their scenes are always so volatile and hard to watch. She needs to be alone to look at why she acts so hard and thuggish all the time and he just needs 10-20 to be off the streets.

I had to switch the channel when I watched him react to her vaginal rejuvenation. You could see the wheels turning in his head when she said that. He ASSumed she was sleeping around the entire time they were taking while he was incarcerated.

Yeah he said he paroled to New Jersey. He could have switched that while he was in the halfway house, but it takes about a month. So by the time he started talking to other girls and getting an opportunity to switch it he probably would have had to stay in there longer. I mean it can still take about a month when you’re free to move parole like that, but if he’s free while he waits at least he’s free. Plus, if he tried to switch it while he was still in the halfway house he might’ve had to go before the parole board again. Once he has a parole officer that guy can approve the transfer. It’s possible he couldn’t get parole if he wanted to parole to his moms, if anyone living there has a criminal record he would not be able to live there. If that was the neighborhood he got in trouble in they could tell him no he can’t live there.
It’s possible he was able to get parole because he was going home to his wife not to his family or his old neighborhood.
It’s super tragic and sad. I wonder if there were any red flags that he was capable of doing such a thing :/

I don't think any woman should be beat and hit by a dude. But Gabby was playing a very dangerous game. She met a dude in jail. Knew nothing about who he was prior to going to prison. She spent all his money, disrespected his family, was absolutely psychotic and tried to be controlling and she thought it was a joke to push him like having him take the train to just leave him out there, not letting him in the car he bought, shit like that. Again I don't condone what he did but I'm not surprised. I saw it coming from the day he got out. Hopefully in the future she will be more careful with who she decides to date. People think it's funny to push someone over the edge then surprised when something tragic happens.
