Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School Reviews

My experience at Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School has been nothing short of exceptional. From the first day of classes, I felt welcomed into a community that values not academic success, personal growth and community service. The sense of community at Loughlin is great. From joining sports teams or clubs to volunteering opportunities students are encouraged to be involved. Academically, Loughlin provides a challenging curriculum that prepares students for success in college. Overall, my experience at Loughlin has been great from the classes taken to the clubs joined.
My experience in Bishop Loughlin Memorial High school was a memorable journey. Transferring from two different high schools into Bishop Loughlin my junior year was a hard deal for me. I honestly didn’t know if I would ever fit or call home a high school. Bishop Loughlin offered me a ton of great guidance support, clubs, and activities. One of the main factors to me loving Loughlin is the bonding between my peers, it’s pretty easy to create friendships with other students when being involved in group activities, clubs and events. On the other hard my worst experience had to be going to summer school after Junior year. I was definitely in a bad mindset the previous year and real glad to change my ways drastically this year and honestly made me a better person. With Bishop Loughlin the only real thing that I would like to see changed is the uniform policy. I feel like it should be more flexible with the shoes and sweaters to honestly make the students more comfortable while learning.
My experience at Bishop Loughlin has been amazing. When I was in 8th grade the school had a spectacular concert, where they bused a bunch of schools from all over nyc to watch some of the performing art elements that the school offers. AFter that show, I completely fell in love with the school. I saw the love and rich culture they had to offer. At school, I am a part of so many extracurricular activities from managing an AA basketball to being co-captain of the Latino dance group. We also offer amazing BioMedical programs with a table model of a cadaver to forensics science. Bishop Loughlin is the best choice I could have made for my highschool.
