McDonald’s Brings Back Confetti Cookie Dough McFlurry, But Only In Canada

McDonald’s locations in Canada bring back popular McFlurry flavor and we are SO jealous

McDonald's fans are having a bad case of FOMO over the new McFlurry flavor available at select Canada stores.

Not all fast food stops or restaurant chains offer the same menu items at each of their locations. This is something foodies have come to love and hate at the same time. On the one hand, we love the variety of food and drinks available. You travel somewhere new, you try something new. However, we get severe FOMO when a tasty item drops but is not available anywhere in our area. Case in point: The Confetti Cookie Dough McFlurry, available at select locations… In Canada!

When I spotted the image of this McFlurry on Snackolator's Instagram account, I was about to grab my car keys and head out the door! But then I noticed the Canadian flag in the corner. This is so unfair. Be upset with me, America! I mean, look how colorful and festive it is! It's the perfect summer treat to go along with an iced tea. And, as a parent, I could have really used the Confetti Cookie Dough McFlurry to bribe my kids into being on their best behavior this summer vacation.

In his post, the food influencer shared that this new McFlurry flavor is made up of vanilla ice cream blended with confetti sprinkles and cookie dough chunks. Yum! To be fair, in the comments, someone suggested that we go to Dairy Queen if we want a similar snack. And it's true. Dairy Queen's seemingly endless dessert options are sure to have something similar. But that’s not the point! The point is that McDonald’s locations in the US need to step up their game.

This isn’t the first time we have had an issue with this sort of food injustice! Earlier this year, Canada and United Kingdom locations enjoyed the Cadbury Creme Egg McFlurry as customers in the US simply watched with envy as we gulped down a spoonful of our regular, boring Oreo McFlurry (and that's only if the ice cream machine wasn't broken at the time). Just kidding, Oreo McFlurry, you know I love you.

What are your favorite international food items that you would like to try? For me, it’s the Shaka Chiki from Japan, and the Ham and Cheese Pockets, available in Australia. For now, I suppose we will have to settle for the Strawberry and Creme Pie. Well, the Strawberry and Creme Pies are actually delicious, if I'm being honest. I wouldn’t exactly call this “settling.” In any case, the Confetti Cookie Dough McFlurry looks very appetizing! It’s your move, US stores.
