- Melinda H48 contributionsThis used to be an undiscovered beach in Aruba but has gained popularity. There is a restaurant, rentals etc. The beach and water areas were pretty crowded and will get worse with the completion of a huge resort currently under construction. There is GREAT snorkeling with sea turtles beyond the breakers. Caution is advised because there is a current if you go this far. I would not recommend it for poor swimmers. Fins will make it much easier. It's beautiful and worth a visit.Written May 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - antoningChicago, IL96 contributionsThere are some 50 street murals within a few blocks in San Nicolas. They are amazing! Local artists and those from other countries painted these murals. The ways the artists expressed their feelings and ideas were creative and vibrant.
We visited San Nicolas on Aruba Anthem and Flag Day, on the way back from Baby Beach to Palm Eagle Beach. The street murals in San Nicolas reminds me of the lively tropical music that local residents played on Baby Beach to celebrate their holiday.Written March 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - maitaimike2015Laguna Hills, CA253 contributionsNot as protected as nearby Baby Beach. If you want a more relaxing "lay on the sand" experience, check this beach out. Way less crowded, but no facilities. Pack accordingly.Written December 28, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BrakiWorldTravelerBelgrade, Serbia18,060 contributionsThis is a great photo op while driving to beautiful Baby beach. Just by the road is a huge red anchor in front of the sea, dedicated to all seamen.
If you're lucky in vicinity you'll find wild donkeys roaming around which just made our experience more joyful.Written February 8, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The only downside is the cocky kite-surfer that think that the beach belongs to him and almost hitting people swimming close to the beach. The majority of the other kite-surfers were really nice and making sure to kite-surf away from the children. And you can enjoy the show watching them.Written August 15, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- debbiegeorge1238 contributionsFantastic experience visiting the gallery and taking the mural tour. While you can walk around by yourself, highly recommend taking a tour. Jean explains each piece. I would have missed so many details without her. Tito, who started the art fair, is amazing and brings an incredible energy to your visit. It’s a don’t miss if in Aruba.Written April 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Shakespeare_FanSharon MA, USA374 contributionsThe museum is housed in a beautiful old building. The entrance is through a cafe.
It took a while to locate the museum guide. When he was located we were shown around and heard stories about the families who donated artifacts to the museum.
It showcases the diversity of San Nicolas and Aruba in general. There are numerous artifacts from all over the world. Most impressive was the music box from the 19th century that was played by turning a crank. It was very loud.
They also have the original Lago sign from the refinery. He explained the name came from the lake in Venezuela where the oil came from.
One modern artifact worth mentioning is the new elevator that operates differently from most others. Very smooth quiet ride.Written January 22, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Shelly CDallas, TX112 contributionsIt was tough to find. But this was a gorgeous place. The kite surfers were lots of fun to watch, the waves were amazingly strong and I loved watching them. We ventured in, but not very deep at all, you could feel how strong the waves were. It was sad about all the trash, but it wasn't down at the water so didn't ruin that enjoyment. Glad we made the drive. We will certainly make our way back here next visit and will be better prepared to enjoy more.Written May 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AlanD-DenverDenver, Colorado204 contributionsSeroe Colorado is at the very northeast end of Aruba and very rural. With a regular car, you can drive off-road and head toward the water. There's so much space that you can have acres to yourself.Written January 6, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
