Rahway is a peaceful town, full of color, and kind-hearted people. The citizens of Rahway are very welcoming and accept everyone with open arms. Rahway is the epitome of beauty; this town brings light to every corner, no matter the time of day. This town is full of rich history that will amaze people of all ages. Rahway strives to celebrate diversity and give back to its citizens in many different ways. Its local festivities invite everyone around them to engage with each other and discover new ideas, people, and activities.
My overall experience has been pleasant. We have always had very nice neighbors. Mainly everyone kind of sticks to themselves. There are plenty of cuisine options, from Italian, Spanish, American, Pizza, and Chinese. There are plenty of outdoor spaces, plenty of parks and playgrounds. We have a community YMCA and a community pool. There are plenty of schools and multiple elementary schools. We have a hospital nearby. There is a sense of community. We also have our own performing arts center where they play shows all the time.
Rahway is a great place to live. I come from the city where everything is so loud. It is nice to experence some quiet time. Neighbors are friendly and you are still close to all the great shopping stores and mall.
My overall experience at Rahway has been pretty good. There are a ton of cute and festive community events and you can tell that the Mayor truly wants to have a thriving tight-knit community. I like all the restaurants and mini-stores near downtown and I love Rahway River park. I would like to see the parking situation change. Most streets are crowded and if you want to secure a parking spot without paying a fine you have to buy a parking pass. Other then that, everything else is fine.
Excellent town! Great local businesses and community events! Central area to all highways and very close to New York.
Coming from the city, Rahway is a big upgrade. Where I live it is quiet and the neighbors are so welcoming. Diverse which I love! And finally some peace and quiet.
It's okay, it's a small area with a small population. In terms of events and things to do, there are not many to do here. And the cleanliness is okay too.
I like living in Rahway because I find it to be very diverse. I really like the High School because of the staff. The guidance counselors are very helpful, especially with college help and advice. I would consider myself to be a student that has a lot to juggle from being enrolled in rigorous AP courses to having to balance extracurriculars and the pressure of being Class President. However, Rahway itself offers many activities and locations such as the Melaos coffee shop downtown to wind down in a calming environment. Also, located downtown is The Waiting Room which turns into the perfect place to let loose and have fun with friends as it turns into a fun party scene on some nights.
I love how they celebrate each holiday. The city workers take their time out to decorate each light post with flyers.
its a awesome place to live , my family loves it here! The community is very friendly and the restaurants are great.
Lived here my whole life . On the surface the town is nice but it’s not . The school system is horrendous. My kids get bullied and the district does nothing about it. The town has gone completely down hill . My car get broken into all of the time. My neighbor had a break in the guy was standing in her bedroom while she and her son were sleeping. We live less than a block from the police station.
Rahway served its purpose for me: my children were born and raised here; they grew up in the very diverse school system (it's not perfect but if you are involved in your children's education, they will succeed); we commuted easily to the beaches, NYC and all airports. If you don't like the highways, the back roads offer a comparable alternative. I've always insisted you can get anywhere in the state from Rahway using the backroads.
Anyway, it's time to leave. I'm sure younger folks will find this town suitable.

I like Rahway because it is very diverse. Also, the crime rate is not high, the schools are good, and the social life is good. Downtown Rahway has many well-known restaurants and stores. Rahway is a good town overall to live in.
I love it here. There's a bunch of things to do and places to hang out with friends. There's a train station right downtown so you can go anywhere!
A great area! It can be really diverse, and most of the people around are friendly. There are nice places to go to and visit nearby as well.
Rahway is family friendly and offers a lot of things to do. I love that I can take a walk along the Rahway River if I just want to get away and enjoy nature. Rahway has lovely restaurants to go to for a dinner date and a great shopping area. The neighborhoods are safe and the community is always welcoming!
I have been living in Rahway my entire life. People are friendly, it has beautiful parks, a great library and community based recreation center. I love it here.
