We ate here during a time when Napa forbid indoor dining, and the outdoor dining was still lovely. The food was amazing. Lamb Kebabs were tender and so flavorful. They marinate them for 36 hours! You cannot go wrong with the short ribs either, particularly...if you like truffle oil, as they are served with truffle risotto. Our waiter, Michael, handled most of the outdoor tables himself. Although they ran down both sides of the front door, he still managed to be extremely attentive to us. This was the best service we received in Napa, and we only ate at popular restaurants. I highly recommend dining here.More

Had dinner on a warm October evening with family. We had reservations (highly recommended) and were promptly seated at an inside table which were socially distanced. Our waitress quickly brought menus and ice water to our table. The menus was excellent. Everything looked great. I...ordered the baked Mousakka. It was excellent. Others at the table ordered braised beef shanks, skewered chicken and their signature Gyro. Not a single complaint. All n all, I highly recommend this restaurant.More

While in Napa we came here for lunch… during covid, they offered outdoor seating and much of it is covered and they offer heaters in some areas outdoor. They have the typical Mediterranean menu, which they do quite well. The food all tasted great and...there’s plenty to fill you up for lunch. Their red lentil soup was amazing too! Service was friendly and decent, although slightly slow. Freshness of the food was definitely there! Prices were a little too high tho. But, I can see coming back here for this style of food in the future.More

I was very excited to try the food at Tarla, however, was disappointed. The food is average, the best thing we ordered was the appetizer plate for two people. The service was also disappointing. We were welcomed very kindly by one staff member. But our...serve was the opposite. We ordered the doner, and yet we got the lamb kebabs. He simply placed our food in a louder than normal manner and walked away. We could not find him, and had to ask another staff member to find him which they could not. Then our food is then fixed after a bit. Our server then seemed to be blaming us for our order mix up, even though we ordered the doner not the lamb kebab. Once a new server came in, they were very kind to us. Complete opposite of our own server. They also told their table about the specials while ours did not. Horrible service. There must be better restaurants in Napa than here.More

We were all very excited to eat here. but that quickly changed when we arrived and realized that they were overwhelmed. The manager gave three out of the four of us champagne when we were seated, saying a fourth glass was on its way. Well...it never arrived. The stuffed grape leaves were lacking in filling, and very loosely wrapped, certainly not "gramma quality stuffed grape leaves!" My husband ordered the gyros and the pita bread was so stale that he could not make a wrap out of it. Finally another piece was delivered. He asked for a second beer which did not come until dinner was finished. My. lamb burger was delicious so if. you feel like you have to dine here, get the lamb burger. The waiter did not check on us and we had to request extra sauce from whomever we could flag down. Definitely a great concept, but they need to put in a lot of time and effort both with their chef and their wait staff in order to make this a good choice!More

You can expect excellent food in a relaxed, contemporary setting in downtown Napa. Service was friendly and helpful toward our group of 3 couples. We shared several appetizers and each of us had a different main dish. Everything was so tasty, and portions were generous--I...took home part of my lamb burger for lunch the next day. Our entrees ranged from $20 to $35, so it was a splurge, but well worth it for a special evening with friends. We may be back for another special occasion.More

Rude service. At the end of our meal it took forever to get a box and then forever to get the check and then no one came by to take our cards so we handed it to a waiter passing by. 20 min of sitting...there later and after asking another employee to check on it with no response, my husband goes to ask the manager where the cards are. The manager approaches him with an accusatory demeanor pointing and saying “you come here..” instead of an apology he basically blames us and asks who we handed our cards to as if we handed it to someone who didn’t work there or that we were trying to skip out on the bill. We mentioned that we saw the waiter stop by another table after they picked up our check, and suggested it might be there. They checked and of course it had been sitting there the whole time. No apology or offer to compensate. If we wanted to dine and ditch we would have 30 minutes ago, so instead of treating us like we were in the wrong a little appropriate customer service would have been warranted. Completely outraged. The manager was incredibly rude to have not even said sorry.More

We went here for lunch because our hotel gave us passes for a free appetizer, and are very happy we did because the food did not disappoint. The grilled octopus salad is out of this world - I’ve never had octopus as soft as this,...it melted in your mouth like butter. The spanikopida was huge and delicious as well. Brittney was our server the first night, she was very friendly and knowledgeable about their wine selection and even accommodated an off the menu cocktail request we had. We loved it so much we came back for lunch the next day, where they honored our free appetizer pass once again. Rodolfo was our server, and the best server we’ve had on our trip. He was very genuine and down to earth, and knowledgeable about their bar selection. The manager Fred was very friendly and gave us some great winery suggestions. The service and attention to detail is incredible, do not miss this place if you are in Napa!More

I wanted to like the place and I was excited by the reviews, but it was a total disappointment. The food was mediocre. The Risotto with the braised beef was way overcooked, practically melted! The Branzino fish was not fresh at all, and price of...~$200 for 3 people is crazy high for such a low-average quality. There are so many better options in the area, so I would not recommend the place!More

My daughter and I had dinner @ Tarla on July 4th. The food was great, especially the Squid salad and the fish with crispy skin. The service was quick. The waitress was very friendly. Outside seating was available with heaters for cold evenings.

Tara Mediterranean restaurant was recommended to us by the local B&B we stayed for the weekend of January 21. We were excited and couldn't' wait to get there and enjoy their food. Before we went there we looked up the online menu and I knew...exactly what I wanted to eat, so did my husband. I ordered the branzino fish and my husband ordered the leg of lamb. Unfortunately, the fish was not fresh, it had a stench. I did not want to complain and ask for a different item because restaurants chefs and servers have been known to spit in customer's food. Perhaps others have had good luck eating fresh fish, but not me I guess.More

Loved the unique Mediterranean style braised short-ribs entre, but to start we devoured the flaming Saganaki (truffle honey, Oh my!) Zucchini Cakes w Tzatziki and the guilty pleasure White Cheddar Mac + Cheese skillet. Awesome flavors! The sidewalk service was excellent and the team was...busy yet present and engaging. Our server Mike was excellent, offering insights on a few hidden gem Napa Valley wines. We had the opportunity to meet the GM, "Dawud" I believe, who was very welcoming also. We enjoyed "distant conversations" with our distant outdoor dining neighbors from the San Diego Area. Highly recommend!More
