The hotel is lovely. Tranquil room with comfortable bed, nice ambient lighting. The bathroom is a little worn in places and could do with a little maintenance, but still ok for now. On a busy road with many shops and a few restaurants, but quiet during siesta and at night time. A Caffefour supermarket is not too far (you'll pass some yummy restaurants) and if you go left towards the metro station, a small hole in the wall pizza place (looks like not much, but the pizza was greeeat!).

The staff at the hotel were absolutely lovely and service overall was good.

Not in the heart of hearts of Madrid, but less than a 5 min metro ride, and easily within walking distance.

Would have been a 5 star if the online pic showing a proper couch, was actually in the room, instead of this (hmm - shoe bench seat thing) You really cannot sit on that except to put on your shoes...it makes a difference after a long day out when one wishes to sit somewhere comfortable. Since everything else about the room was great, it was a let down. The hotel offered to move me to a Jr suite for free (but the couch in that room sits facing a wall - hmm, odd). This was lovely of them, and a true statement on good customer service. Anyway, hopefully they will return the couches to these rooms.

Very decent hotel. Great Price... I recommend!

From the airport via the 2 subway trains is easy - 45 mins. If you depart before 6am, there is no subway, but an Uber was $30 and took around 15 mins.

The location of the hotel is very convenient. There are variety of stores nearby for shopping.
Easy to get cabs to go around the city. A Metro Station is also nearby.
Grain Via is also within walking distance. The rooms are compact but are well set up with mini refrigerator provided.
The staff is really good. The breakfast offered by the hotel was very good and the chef was courteous enough to add some vegetarian dishes to the menu on request which was a great gesture showing their hospitality.
The rooms facing the road might get noisy some times. (Did not bother us at all)

Stayed here for 3 nights. The hotels location is amazing, we were a 20 minute stroll to the main area near the Plaza Mayor (or €7 taxi ride). The room was very clean and contained a fridge which was great! The air conditioning was amazing and this really helped as it was 30+ degrees every day. Staff were polite and nice. The only downfall was the lack of restaurant / bar facilities. There was an area for this but was not opened. We ordered room service one day which was an approx 30 min wait, after over an hour I went down to the reception to check up on it however was just handed the phone to call room service ( I had already tried this in the room with no success). A delivery driver pulled up and I was told that was my room service ? I was very confused as no where stated this got delivered from outside of the hotel, if I had known this I would have used Ubereats instead as it was quite expensive. I paid for the food and went upstairs to enjoy my meal however when opened it was completely wrong, I tried to call the room service but no answer and no way to complain about this, the hotel treated it as a third party service. So we lost €35 and then had to go elsewhere instead.

Summary: Great hotel and I do recommend… just don’t order the room service!

We got a Uber from the airport to the hotel for 20 euros. When we arrived at Leonardo City Centre Hotel in the morning we expected to leave our luggage and check in at 3pm. We were grateful to be checked in early to room 502 which is situated above the entrance,

The room was spacious and clean, breakfast buffet had a lot to choose from and the staff were very friendly. There are 4 lifts so you don't have long to wait.

Domino Pizza is across the road from the hotel and just up from the hotel was a cafe which also did takeaway. There is no shortages of places to eat and there is a supermaket 5 minutes away around the corner from the hotel.

The San Bernardo Metro entrance is at the top of the street and serves lines 2 & 4. Red line 2 is great for Plaza Mayor and Grand Via. We got a 10 journey ticket for 8.60 euros which allowed us 2 return journeys for 2 days.

Check out was noon but when we asked about a later check out they allowed us till 1pm at no extra cost. On our departure from the hotel at the Metro we added the journey to the airport for 6 euros. We used brown line 4 to Mar de Cristal and changed to pink line 8 and got off at airport stop signed T1/T2/T3. The stop is actually at T2 and is a 10 minute walk to T1.

Leonardo City Centre hotel was a great place to stay especially with air conditioning and we would definitely stay there again. Milan public transport is excellent and saves the hassle of parking.

Very good, modern hotel, in a fantastic location in the city. This hotel is less than 5 minutes walk from the local Metro station and less than 10 minutes walk to Plaza de España and the beginning of Grand Via. To reach the very Centre of the city (Sol) it's only 20 minutes by foot or you can use the Metro with only one change. We paid direct to the reception for breakfast on one of our 3 mornings and it was well worth the money. A good range of tasty food and drink on offer. The bed was very comfy. The WiFi worked very well. Air con was excellent. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We will return to this hotel.

Room was basic. Two of the beds were somewhat comfy but the additional bed was really uncomfortable which meant the three of us had to alternate for the three nights we were there.

There were three of us and they only provided us with one normal coffee and one decaf coffee which wasn’t enough. When we asked them to provide more coffee they responded “have you not already been given some?!” In quite a rude manner by one of the female receptionists.

The walls are paper thin which we found out when we were woken up at 4am and could hear the drunken conversation next door.

As we had a late flight on the final day, we had asked for late check a couple of days prior to which a gentleman confirmed the price and we agreed to go ahead with late check out.
When it came to the final day, we came back to our room at 3pm (1 hour before late check out) to find our room key wasn’t working, therefore we went to reception to see what the issue was. Another female receptionist quite rudely explained that we should have had our card changed/activated when we had asked for the late check out initially. We explained that the gentleman did not do anything with the roomkey or even mentioned it. After being made to feel stupid, the receptionist re-activated the card for us and literally chucked it on the front desk which is completely unacceptable!! Not sure if it’s a prejudice against English women, but we did get the impression we were not welcome.

Pros: good location and good bathroom.

Cons: rude female staff, next to a petrol station (smells when the window is open), paper thin walls and uncomfortable pull up bed.

Nice but noisy room overlooking the street and poorly soundproofed, you can hear a lot of the neighbors' discussions. I don't recommend the breakfast at 12€ it's not worth the price, the bread and pastries are industrial, orange juice not very good, salty side nothing very appetizing. The hotel should make an effort on the products: put bakery bread, squeezed orange juice and typical Spanish dishes like tortilla, Spanish sausages or churros. That's too bad

A touch of luxury with top quality linen, the reception staff are extremely helpful, comfortable, very convenient to train station, spotless and well managed . Good security. The bakery outside the door is perfect for coffee and delicacies! Quiet and suitable for solo female travellers.

From March 22 to March 26 I am with my family from Azerbaijan (4 person) were at Leonardo Hotels Opco Madrid City Center. We were surprised that when check in we were asked for an additional credit card for their insurance. They explained that something could happen with furniture in the room and also if you will not pay the cost of mini bar. I consider this a humiliating act from hotel side. When traveling to Europe (in Berlin, in Vienna), I checked into the Leonard chain of hotels and there was no such incident as in Madrid.
The second thing was: after the first night we wanted to change our room because of the noise (our room looked straight into the road). Thanks hotel, they are satisfied our request and changed the room. But during changing rooms I forgot my perfume (Tom Ford -100 ml) with a cost of 215 euros in previous room 413. The next day I asked the reception about this, but they did not give back the perfume witch I had forgotten in room 413. It's a pity that I still have such an association in this hotel.
I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed for 3 nights and we can say a lot of good things and only a few negative things. The area is nice, quiet and safe and relatively close to the center. The room is new and so is the bathroom, and they changed our towels and cleaned the room every day. We didn't have breakfast but right next door there is a very nice cafe for breakfast. In general, we are very pleased. The negatives are that the pillows are not comfortable, they did not replace the coffees in the room the following days and most importantly there is no soundproofing between the rooms.Luckily we had a room at the end of the building and there was only one room next to us where we could hear everything. All this on the first night because later we realized that there was a problem and we and the neighboring tenants were talking quite quietly, and the problem disappeared. But there is absolute soundproofing from the street when you close the balcony door. I recommend it, just ask for a room at the end of each floor.

You should take metro line 8 from the airport. Switch trains to metro line 4 at 'Mar de Cristal' and get off at 'San Bernardo' station. From there the hotel is in 250m walking distance.
