Delicious food, The Lord Anson BBQ Beef And Bacon Burger is to die for. Perfectly cooked and incredible collections of flavours for a small pub. The staff are friendly and well versed in there jobs.

Went for their Wednesday night steak night and the pub was warm and comfortable on a wet and cold night. The steak was average and a little smaller than the same special offered at the Metropolitan Hotel a few metres away. Nothing special, just a basic steak with average chips, gravy and an onion laden salad. Acceptable but nothing special.

Limited menu - chicken parmigiana or battered fish
only one cook on Saturday night
Undercooked burger
Huge portion of cauliflower with schnitzel

I had an evening meal here with friends. What a great atmosphere. We had a couple of tables towards the back of the pub. Great menu and of course drinks list. lots of local brews available. The food was fresh and tasty. It was also great value. Recommended.

We usually visit the Lord Anson when in Portsmouth to travel to France. The food is always very good and reasonably priced. The selection of beers is also very good. The staff are always helpful and attentive. On our last visit Leane was very pleasant.

Great dinner and friendly atmosphere. Has a nice homey feel to the place. The steak was well cooked and the prices reasonable in this unpretentious pub environment

Excellent local pub . Friendly helpful staff . Comfortable dining space with excellent pub food . We all had different dishes and were very satisfied . The rhubarb and apple crumble was honestly delicious . Good honest food very well presented . We will be back .

We were in Orange for a few days of wine tasting and visited this pub for dinner. Staff were very friendly and there was a good choice of food. It was delivered in good time and all was delicious. The place was quite full for a Tuesday night but we were welcomed and felt at home. We can all recommend this pub for just a drink or food if you are in the area.

Great place to eat and drink.
Warm, friendly and welcoming staff.
Good food. The home made pie is a must.
When in Orange, do yourself a favour and pop in for a drink and meal.
Holidaying in Orange and found the people of Orange very welcoming to their town.

We attended a family function and the staff were welcoming, warm and friendly. As the night wore on the staff continued to impress. Due to the function, we had finger food which was cooked well and presented nicely. Their selection of beers and wines was very good.
The young girl behind the bar was excellent and unbeknownst to us, it was her first night.

We were greeted with a smile, offered a table and had the menu explained to us. The majority of ingredients are locally sourced and we decided on the Georgie Porgie Pie - delicious!! A very friendly pub and my recommendation is to pop it on your ‘must do Orange list’.
You won’t be disappointed!
